BW Terrorsaur (faults to @dinersaurcrisis )
TFP Predaking (faults to @mouseycometz )
Sunstreaker & Sideswipe (TOGETHER, COUNT AS ONE fault to @mariequitecontrary -mostly I love their take on these characters more than any canon-)
Botbots Dave (YES, that Daveโฆ faults to @rinovarka )
RescueBots Graham (faults to @frosty-tian)
RescueBots Blades (faults to @mysticfoxdesigns )
TFA Shockwave (faults to @electricpez )

TFA Blitzwing (faults to @skele-tim )
TFA Bulkhead (faults to @lolathepeecock and @adventuretolkienlover )

... this become more of an "Awards to Every Moot that Show me to Love X Character Through Osmosis", and tbh, that's good too! CONGRATS FOR MAKING ME FEEL YOUR BOND THROUGH BLORBOS!!!
Luff U All, I will never bother ya all again with a mention *explodes and disappears*.

wrong!! thats actually only the palette im using for the bastard squad (and most things in that story)
tldr its just adris palette and im using it for environments and clothes bc it looks good when theres a lot of things to keep track of at the same time but i dont want everything to look overly busy w different colors (which is what happened before). so yeah luna and en i colored to fit on the lineup i did a while back
longer version in universe hot pink is the color of magic so its the accent color i chose for it. in reality everyone has their own palette and accent color(s) that i might or might not draw them with. having limited colors for them all also makes me really think about what things i wanna put attention on and how to deal with set themes etc
its just new territory i want to attempt to tread in design wise too yknow. its a challenge to make them all look as different as possible even within all the limitations
im pretty sure dont have any other ocs outside of the underground squad that i used white/black/pink as their colors bc i started using that combo just a lil while back w adri so
actually im on a bus rn but when i get home ill edit all of them quick with their ""actual palette"" or what they would be
You want me to unroll the equivalent of meters and meters of fax paper about the blorbo? (Do modern people still know what fax machines are?)
Jokes aside, I will just pick a couple of them! Mostly from speculation in behavior/personality notes (I got lots on different character subjects). Tho, many will step on personal interpretations for AUs/OOC a bit, but I think it will be easy to spot:
He's actually socially awkward, but knows how to put on a front for business reasons. I like to think he on purpose chose his looks as a form of self-defense against socially clingy 'Bots and as a form of visual pressure/intimidation against bigger framed 'Cons. "No one can stab your back if your back can stab them back!"
Same reason why he's bad at teamwork/rarely wants to teamwork. He tends to assume too quickly everyone's roles during a task, doing the bare minimum to finish as fast as he can, so he can go back to being alone.
That wasn't actually a bad trait! Is still useful to Lockdown to be able to read fast how an ally or enemy behaves... but it made him quite a control freak in others' optics. And a bot like that will always find itself clashing with leader figures, Primes or Commanders.
... and why he spends most of his time on his own. Lockdown actually doesn't mind it. And if the stupid glitch of his former Autobot programming itches at him, he fills the void of space with the sounds of the Death's Head's motors, of weapons firing, of soldiering his tools, etc.
That doesn't mean he can't appreciate company! Tho, like the good stalker hunter he is, he does better from afar: oogling at bots he thinks are "pretty" could be his main pastime, if it actually left some profit to him.
I think for that reason, Lockdown could have been good at frame tuning! Looking at pretty clients AND making credits. But alas, the bounty hunter is a restless spark and can't stay in the same place for long periods of time. He feels like a tiger in a cage with that type of lifestyle.
... that's why he can't commit to a "partner" and because I like to think he's aesthetically attracted to others rather than anything else.
Unless said partner is ready to go at a similar pace as Lockdown, jumping through constant chaos every week. And be prepared to be hated, nose-wrinkled when walking alongside the hunter. Other of those things he got used to. "Better to be hated than to be forgotten."
my swindle just so happpens to have his robo pawbs out in display. oooo lockdown you wanna touch them soooo bad oooooooooo
"... I thought those were for his inbuild reader-scanner?"
(I know cybertronian technology is more advanced than an old Earth calculator and that they probably had their own numerical system but I COULDN'T RESIST THE STUPID JOKE)
Transformers Animated for sure is up there! And I'm glad for that reason, when I first dived into this franchise, I left it practically last on my watch list to enjoy it the most x) Idk, something in the art style whispered to me I would LOVE IT DEARLY haha That's why the waiting was worth it! ๐
Followed up by Beast Wars because I'm a furry the idea of robots surviving on a very savage organic planet appeals to me too much ๐พ
Let me give you a third one... and nopes, it's not Prime (that still, I slightly like it because it actually was my first introduction to it coff), but RESCUE BOTS!!! That's HOW YOU ACTUALLY PUT A HUMAN CAST IN A TF SHOW AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA ๐

*Clawing my way between boxes of unused sketchbooks and old ass, half-used art supplies* That's a cruel question to ask someone like me, that applies to MANY of them, even together!!!
Kidding, lemme make an attempt at a RANKING OF WINDY'S FAVORITE ART MEDIUMS:
[ 1 ] WATERCOLORS (traditional): Knowing I do Digital Watercolors too, one would think I prefer those because they are "superior". But nopes. I like when art lets me go at a slow, careful pace. And traditional watercolors are known to put you in that type of space.
[ 2 ] CRAYONS (traditional): they are growing on me! And let me be "imperfect" without minding it much. Tho currently, I'm lacking warm colors in my current set... I need to fix that sometime.
[ 3 ] INKING (traditional): mostly with stylographics/fineliners. Once more, I know how to do these in digital too, but like with watercolors, if I do them the traditional way is for the experience it puts me through.
[ 4 ] SCULPTING (traditional, clay): this could be more up there? Yeah, but I admit it is quite taxing and requires more attention and careful preparation in contrast to the rest. Still, I enjoy it a ton!
[ 5 ] COLLAGE (digital): This one is the lowest, but it enters the Top because I enjoy it a lot to the point I'm trying to integrate it more even on my smaller pieces. But gosh darn, it's still A HASSLE to work with it! And I say that as a Graphic Designer (Happy Day for me yesterday!), who hoards TONS of resources... but needs to always search MORE to fill certain visual gaps. Bless online and free resources!!!
I am also bopping you with โ๏ธ๐!! Hehehehehe~
You know in this house WE LOVE to reflect about my fictional tastes hahaha LETS GOOOOOO โ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธ
โ๏ธ What character did you start off disliking, but ended up becoming very fond of?
*Crackles knuckles*
That would be Snoutlout Jourgenson (from the How to Train your Dragon saga of movies).
If you already know a bit about me, I HATE bully characters! And more when it is OBVIOUS they are put alongside a soft-hearted main character to simply demote the bully into a dumb muscle joke (sort of "Worf Effect" RAAAAAH).
But Snotlout DEFIED THAT: the more the movies advanced, my jaw dropped completely with how many sides his characterization hides behind his bravado!!! Especially in the "Rise to the Edge" series, there's so much juicy personal lore and development for him there!
TBH, if it were for me, I would have made an Spin-off with him as a protag, showing more of his jerk with a heart of gold, melting when integrating into the viking and dragon community until he becomes a leader to his clan, too ๐.
๐ What do you think your tastes in characters say about you? Reflect!ย
Did I mention Worf (from Star Trek Next Gen)? Let's grab him now that I'm in a good mood!
My man, always judging, always ready to smack you with a snarky remark (I'm already weak, and I'm just starting HELP).
Under the cut because I go personal again sdkfhksdjhfjs
I noticed the more I age (Jร), the more evident my penchant for Big Scary Monster/Guys in fantasy settings. But I never pondered about it until I studied tropes and archetypes around my 20-ish years.
Why would I like Dinosaurs, Dragons, and Monsters? Punk-Dark aesthetic and Spooky Things that Bump in the night? I'm so scared and suspicious of such irl!
Because I am a petite adult woman in a very harsh patriarchal world. As a result of emotional abuse, I am hypervigilant every time I go for a short walk to buy milk.
I wish, I YEARN to have what all these characters have: being respected by just standing there. BY JUST EXISTING. I would never have the need to change my path when I see men walking alongside me. No one will try to twist my words and think I'm "insinuating" or whatever. I would never need to constantly call for a family member to fact-check for a stranger that comes to my business, bothering meโฆ and so on.
I'm not a big beefy warrior like Worf. I don't have a booming voice like Worf. Neither am I good at self-defenceโฆ But I try to have my posture firm, my mind clear, and my voice steady in confrontations like his.
He's neither perfect tho: like me (and his whole species, the Klingons) tends to violent outbursts. I associate that with my anger management! And take notes on how other characters behave and aid Worf when having those moments.
Something I especially like about his character is thatโฆ he slowly shows more and more of his soft side to the crew. Many truths of his past kick him back in the course of the series, demanding that Worf use less of his natural strength and listen to his heart more.
Even if I'm a very outgoing person online, IRL I'm quite a closeted person to strangers out of fear I would overshare and/or my anger suddenly will make them scared to hang with meโฆ
Seeing Worf's struggles inspired me so much to keep going through all those troubles. And to discover that, yeah: I will never be THAT big or stronger. But I can still hold to my feelings and tenderness through the fiery forces that envelop me from the world.
So sad Klingons don't exist: for sure I would have a Klingon BF/GF without hesitation HAHAHAHA coff coff
๐ Name a favorite character you have liked the longest
๐ Who was the first character you developed a crush on / had a strong connection to?
๐ Another tricky question... that made me review my childhood cartoon catalogue quickly to pinpoint it OMG. But I think-- I found it.
I don't talk a lot about X-49 and Lulu the pug (from Samurai Jack), but of all characters from media, I think his story is the one that has left the most marks on me. I think it is thanks to it that I tend to write stories about facing conflicting feelings between your assigned roles in society and your true motivations to keep living. Is a very simple, one-shot character, but the way the message was delivered in his Episode is something I will carry forever with me.
๐... Of course, you needed to be the one to ask me THIS PARTICULAR ONE HAHAHA coff coff. That honor is held by my beloved Kurt Wagner AKA Nightcrawler (X-Men).
I LOVE how he can be both mysterious and friendly, very playful, but when the moment calls for it, comfortable to be around and ready to fight for you. He brought so much coziness to my imagination, the safest place for me to make sense of my first "romantic" feelings!
But his iteration that completely made me fall head over heels during my early teenage years was, of course, his X-Men Evolution self.
I remember studying A TON of the official reference sheets from the show's main designer, Steve E. Gordon. I sharpened my humanoid/human designs thanks to him ๐
