Wilder was exactly that. Wild.

Even as a young boy, he had too much energy for his parents to know what to do with. His father, Carson, was the underboss of the Santoro mob. He and Santoro Sr. had grown up together, trained side by side to one day take over the empire. They were inseparable, and they raised their children the same way.

Because of that, Wilder grew up alongside the Santoro family, especially their daughter, Josephina. The two were inseparable from the start, infatuated with each other in the way only children could be, something soft and easy that felt inevitable.

Wilder was also the oldest of three, with two younger sisters he was fiercely protective of. Their mother passed not long after the youngest was born, leaving Carson to raise them alone. He did his best, but he was a mob man through and through, not a father built for bedtime stories and scraped knees. A nanny filled in the gaps where he couldn’t.

Then, when Wilder was thirteen, everything changed. His father was killed, leaving the three siblings orphaned. The Santoros took them in without hesitation, folding them into their family as if they had always belonged there.

Living under the same roof blurred lines that had once been innocent. As they grew into their teenage years, whatever had existed between Wilder and Josephina shifted into something deeper, something harder to ignore. What started as childhood affection turned into late nights, stolen moments, and a connection neither of them fully understood, only that they couldn’t stay away from each other.

Wilder was sent away almost immediately, shipped off to live with his Aunt Giada, putting distance between him and the only place that had ever truly felt like home.

At twenty-one, he gained access to his trust fund and returned with something to prove. He purchased Saint & Sinners, a nightclub that quickly became one of the most popular spots in the city. On the surface, it was just another high-end club.
