#WhyIBelieve.... no, with my mouth and cynical nature, I know it's hard to believe this post is from me. Last week, Ada gave me a #SaintFrancis tag for the dogs. She ordered one for all the dogs in her life, to keep them safe. I loved it and bright them home, added them to the collars for the pups. #shugitherescuepup had been wearing #isisthewhitegermanshepherd collar since he lost his. This weekend, yesterday actually, we bought Shugi a tag with my telephone number on it. Took off Isis' collar and put his new one on, including his St. Francis tag. Tonight, while I zipped up my jacket, Shugi escapes out the one spot needing fixing (the last storm parted bushes to let him scale the fence ) I take off in one direction, G in the other. He's NOWHERE to be found. Danny comes out of the shower. He gets in the car and starts looking. I drive around, then walk some more. I am near tears, worried. It's cold out tonight. As I come back to pee (I've been out for an hour at that point) I her a phone call. A young guy on his way home from work found him, on Western Ave. He lured him over with Ritz Crackers and got my number off his tags. Called us. We drove like nuts to get our boy. I come home, let a few tears of relief fall, open my email. His microchip was moved to our information... today. So, you can keep your water-into-wine and arson of shrubbery. Keep your toast with Mary on it and the potato chip that looks like the Ark. St. Francis smiled on my puppers tonight. And I'm grateful. #dogsofinstagram #adoptdontshop #fosteringsaveslives
