Has Joey's grades actually improved since you started tutoring/dating him Jazz? Or are they the same?
“Improved. Dramatically,” Jazz answered without hesitation as she flipped through Joey’s latest test papers. “He still skips study blocks to play Duel Monsters with Yugi and the others, and he still pretends he ‘totally reviewed’ when he clearly didn’t.”
Her sigh held annoyance, but her smile gave her away.
“But he listens to me. He works harder than he admits. And every time his grades go up, he gets this smug little grin like he did it all on his own.” Jazz shook her head, fond despite herself. “So yes. My idiot boyfriend actually improved.”
