This access is now permanently blocked thanks to earlier terrorist threats. This weekend the Capitol Grounds have again been fenced because of threats from radical right-wing terrorists and their supporters. The vile rally in support of the 6 January terrorists scheduled today will not be allowed even this close to the building as the rally is to be confined to the Reflecting Pool park a few hundred meters further away. Congress is in recess, and most of its members are out of the area in anticipation of possible violence. The building is being protected at immense costs to the taxpayers of the District of Columbia and the U.S. The Republican Party and its dependence on radical-right wing voters and their lunatic ideology has all but turned the U.S. into a banana republic.
