Something lowkey funny about a lot of Sky//star fanfics having Megatron as a love obstacle, being all jealous and "I need to get rid of Skyfire he is distracting Starscream", is that in Fire in the Sky Megatron doesn't care about their relationship. Like, he asks once and leaves it at that.
(Even when Starscream is answering he interrupts him to talk about the war lmao he doesn't gaf 😭)
If anything, he is glad to have Skyfire in his team! He is excited when they found him and assumes that he is still a decepticon when he comes back. Mind you, by that point Starscream has likely told him about the shuttle's "betrayal", so he is just accepting him back into the decepticons after that 😭 (Considering the kind of bots Megatron keeps in the High Command this is not surprising lol)
But really, at most Megatron tells him to not overstep. All the mistreatment Skyfire faces during his time in the Decepticons comes from Starscream.
