Can't say that I agree. While, yes, the art is beautiful and it definitely adds to the story, the story was the main reason a lot of people stayed. Actually, a lot of people didn't like the artstyle Skybound had. Like, I remember people giving Jorge Corona shit for how "ugly" he drew the characters (not an opinion I share, I think his style really fit the series)

I'm more of the idea that Skybound is what I would call a "potential man" story. There's a lot of good elements that are interesting, but the execution ends up falling flat. I don't know, I feel that it's a consequence of DWJ making shit as he went.

Either way, Wheelie.

Unlike Bumblebee, who while described as young it's meant to be an adult, Wheelie is clearly meant to be a kid in G1. And this is worth mentioning, because —as far as I remember— he is the only transformer kid that we know of in that continuity. Which it's weird when you think about it, because from what we have seen the transformers are all born as adults (the dinobots, the combiners, etc).

So, what's Wheelie's deal?

Well fuck me if I know lol, but here's how I made him fit in my sparkling lore:

> First of all, he is born from as a sparkling, which is why he has parents and such. Parents who, for whatever reason, decided to go on a space trip (maybe work idk).

> Wheelie develops as normal, going from gray blob to mini version of himself.

> The accident happens, Wheelie loses his parents and gets stranted on Quintessa.

> The Quintessons find him and capture him, but he manages to escape.

> While Wheelie was already in the last stage and about to go through metamorphosis, the whole situation strains his growth. He takes longer to hit metamorphosis because of the lack of resources and, when he eventually goes through it, the trauma of the whole situation gets him stuck on this "kid stage".

> So, he is pretty much a kid stuck into an adult's body in survival mode until the autobots find him. None of them really know what to do with him, but his friendship with Daniel allows to heal a bit. They get to grew up together, in a way.
