While the issue 33 is finally slow down to kinda call backs to soms of details getting introduced in previous issues (iron apprentice, each irrelevant side character got "some" line, Ultra Magnus being the one who carried Elita Prime as a nod to the issue where Elita-1 saved and carried him away from Shockwave), it feels like Kirkman just threw some bones at us, hopefully to appease us happy before another speed-run to more actions, fast pace plots where only the relevant characters got the spotlight and everyone else became irrelevant cannon fodders for the plot again. Also, Shredhead is still Shredhead with barely any discernable personalities.

I did give DWJ for his portrayal of Arcee and Carly's relationship, but Arcee as a standalone character from both DWJ and Kirkman's runs were kinda flat. She was this weird limbo of being relevant and irrelevant as the same time, depending how the plot wanted her to be.

But yeah, it's disappointing. I really liked this version of Arcee when she first appeared, I would even call her my favorite version of the character— but then, like you say, she just felt into this weird limbo. In later issues DWJ pretty much just pushed her to the side to focus on other plots and Kirkman just made her a Magnus because why should we put any kind of effort on writing female characters when we can give them cool girlboss moments and call it a day, amirite?

And the Astrotrain's deal is still pissing me off till this day. I wouldn't be that mad if his death was used to give Megatron evil-farming moment.

And yeah I get you, most of my Skybound rants end up with me complaining about Astrotrain lol
