WEDNESDAY'S WEEKLY POETRY PROMPTS: 6/10/26 ~ IN MY CORNER
IN MY CORNER ©️2026 G. Smith (BMI) ================= In my corner of your world, Is where my heart first came unfurled, And flew its flag which whipped and curled, In the fresh breeze of your love.
In my corner of your heart, Is where I felt my heartbeat start, A rhythm that I’d heard in part, Before the music of your love.
And in the spaces in between, What once was dull has blossomed green, New life blooming I hadn’t seen, Vibrant, beautiful, fresh and clean,
In my corner of your soul, Is where I first felt healed and whole, And knew that I could ceed control, To the guidance of your love.
And in the spaces in between, What once was dull has blossomed green, New life blooming I hadn’t seen, Vibrant, beautiful, fresh and clean. New life blooming, Fresh and clean.
