WEAK THINGS BREAK and IMO, WHEN PEOPLE GET HURT IT IS USUALLY THE COACHES FAULT. JUST MY .02. #greatpost @ohptraining :::: #weakthingsbreak #strengthisking #somecoachesaredangerous #conjugatestrong :::: #Repost @ohptraining with @make_repost ・・・ This one is worth repeating. It’s been my experience that trainers/strength coaches and rehab professionals are often at odds with one another and I can absolutely see why. Physical therapists, chiropractors, massage therapists and everyone else end up seeing everyone that got wrecked by a personal trainer with a poor understanding of progressions/regressions and progressive overload. Coaches see people that have been conditioned to be scared of doing anything more than a clamshell for fear of herniating a disc or developing osteoarthritis. In general I think everyone can do better. Trainers/coaches, do more than a weekend certification. Your own physique/strength doesn’t make you qualified to manage another human’s health. Rehab professionals, read a strength and conditioning book, train, get strong. Communicate with one another. Bridge the gap.
