IN DETAIL: he had only been her teacher for one semester, for an english class she ended up testing out of, in high school. they hadn’t noticed each other then, naomi just a senior in high school and him a newly married, fresh out of college, New Hire. but she ran into him this past summer, at a bar when she had gone home to los angeles. she’d considered seeing her family, but ran into him first. 

the two hooked up that night and spent the next few weeks seeing each other off and on at naomi’s hotel room, which he eventually started paying for so she would stay longer. she thought it was love, he thought it might be love too but he was married with a child on the way. naomi wasn’t worth risking his family or his job for, so instead she was a secret. when she finally came back home, he continued to text and call her even though they were not ever officially established as ‘together.’ naomi thought of them as together. she only cut off contact with him completely over spring break. he knows all about everything going on at lockwood as naomi told him, and she feels bad for involving him at all. he has a baby now.

DOES ANYONE ELSE KNOW THIS SECRET?: tatiana knew this secret and it was the reason for the end of their friendship. they fought about it when naomi returned home from california texting the man and told tatiana the truth. no one else knows, as she has never discussed with anyone why her and tati fell out. even with those she trusts now, she wouldn’t risk telling.

IN DETAIL: 

he wasn’t the jealous type, not really. but he had every reason to believe his girlfriend was cheating on him, and this small gut feeling was enough to bring out a side of him that was completely uncharacteristic. his insecurities got the best of him. he couldn’t do anything to his girlfriend’s phone without her finding about it, she’s a software engineer major just like him. the best of the class, even. one of the many things blue liked about her.    

it seemed easy, and harmless back then. he was simply trying to prove what he already knew. his girlfriend was cheating on him with tatiana samuels. one of the few times they all hung out together, while her and tatiana were exchanging looks and subtle touches, blue took the opportunity to do it. the plan was simply to find the “evidence” he was looking for, and when he did that was supposed to be it. but for one reason or the other, he never actually terminated said access to tatiana’s phone. 

he wasn’t spying on her, perse, nor was he using any of the information against her in any way or form. except for the occasional snooping around when he was bored. it took him until a couple of days after tatiana’s disappearance for him to stop and delete any trace of it. 

DOES ANYONE ELSE KNOW THIS SECRET?: no, maybe his ex. 

IN DETAIL: It’d been going on for a couple of months -- they’d get them from the manufacturers, then distribute them out to the dealers. A middle man, that was all. A quick buck, cheap thrill, no logic behind their doings. They had the money already -- didn’t need more, but Cain found himself falling into the cliche. Untouchable golden boy playing with fire, tempting fate, all for the fun of it. Looking back -- it’s like the beginning of his descend from his perch-like throne. This is where Cain starts. This is where Cain ends. He’d gotten a new offer, a new boss of sorts -- different drugs, higher price -- why not? Expanding the business was all part of the fun; that was why he’d gone into business, hadn’t it? For the fun? To be a Wall Street crony? Wasn’t this just part of it all -- part of the bigger picture? They never tried the drugs they were distributing -- weren’t for him, better to keep a clear mind, to be at the top of your game. It wasn’t until the first overdose that they had actually suspected much at all; even then, it was easy to dismiss. Overdoses happened, it wasn’t out of the ordinary. Unease weighing on his shoulders, but discarded; already onto the next venture. Two, three more happened over the course of a few weeks -- a pit in his stomach, growing. When one too many overdoses took a dark twist and ended in someone’s death -- that was when Cain felt the need to confront his dealer. He hadn’t been the one to alter the drugs -- but he distributed them to the dealers, who then sold them -- accomplices, the lot of them. Accomplices to murder. Confrontation was the wrong move; broken ribs later told Cain -- lesson learned. The most he could do was cut ties with the manufacturer and move on. A selfish move but the only smooth path; headlines flash behind their eyes -- SENATOR’S SON CAUGHT IN DRUG SCANDAL -- DEATHS CONFIRMED. His ribs ached at the thought. His ribs still ache at the thought.

DOES ANYONE ELSE KNOW THIS SECRET?: Only the people involved in the ordeal. 

IN DETAIL: jack’s mother was murdered in a bank robbery’s hostage situation when he was 13 years old. he was still in middle school, and the murderer’s little brother was his age in school. no rivalry ever came of this, even when the boy’s brother was sentenced to life. the two boys were never close, but ran in the same circles, especially when they both joined the football team in high school. 

it was at a party just before jack’s senior year when the two finally got into an altercation, both parties drunk and jack himself coked out for the first time. the fight continued later in the night after a group of their friends decided to smoke on the town’s water tower ( something they all did often. ) 

a physical fight ensued, ending with jack shoving the boy off of the ledge. he himself jumped from a shorter distance. the couple other friends present went with jack’s story, and when the police became involved there were no witnesses. the sheriff took pity on jack already for his mother, and the scene was ruled an accident. everyone believed him over the delinquent with a brother serving life.

DOES ANYONE ELSE KNOW THIS SECRET?: the two other friends present from jack’s hometown know, but they know they can’t say anything without also implicating themselves and are just happy to be off the hook. gunner knows the story jack has made  for himself of how he and his friend fell off of the water tower. 

IN GENERAL: He’s married.

IN DETAIL: Just three days shy of Teddy’s 18th birthday, a close friend and fellow senior at Teddy’s high school returned home to find that ICE had raided her place and that their parents were currently being detained. Obviously aware of what this could mean for her, she sought comfort from the last person she’d been with, who just so happened to be Teddy. Despite being in New York since she was just 3 months old, she was still terrified that she would be sent back to La Paz, Mexico. Of course, Teddy’s idea was for them to get married to grant her a green card and keep her safe. Seeking refuge in the Lawrence household for the next few days, two days after Teddy turned 18 the two of them went down to city hall and sealed the deal. Even though the two don’t talk nearly as much anymore, they’re still ‘happily married’, and probably will be for a long time.

IN DETAIL

It started with Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure. Bridget’s mom Alice had never been big into film, but her second husband Gilly was a big-boned guffawing idiot of a man who’d have happily spent every hour of the day chugging beer and watching B movies if he didn’t have to run a garage. It’s perhaps why Bridget’s still so into shitty low-budget films now, despite being a film major. When she was around eleven years old, Bridget and her step-dad watched Bill and Ted together, and it was like their music not only brought harmony to the universe but also triggered the sexual awakening of a pre-pubescent girl. 

She was smitten with Bill S. Preston, found herself lying awake at night thinking about him in his cute 80s crop-top, found herself drifting off at school in fantasies of Bill abducting her from class and taking her on a trip through time and space in his travelling phonebox to teach her the mysteries of the universe and how to play bass. She even feared she didn’t have a shot with Bill because she wasn’t an English princess, so for a brief period in middle school she adopted a British accent and made everyone refer to her as Beatrice. So consumed by these thoughts of Bill, she felt that if she didn’t get them all down, she’d simply expolode, and so at at eleven years old Bridget wrote her first intergalactic fanfiction starring herself and Bill.

By twelve, her and Bill were married with three half-human half-alien hybrid children. At this point, Bridget’s mother had left, and she was placed in care while her step-father was rehabilitated for alcohol abuse. It was around this age that Bridget began to watch porn, having found it in the search history of her foster brother’s laptop, and quickly became obsessed with the idea of sex. Rather than ask anyone about it, she started write a second collection of adventures with Bill that detailed their intergalactic intercourse to attempt to understand the urges she was having, not only for Bill, but for other fictional figures as well. From then on it was a slippery slope through Lord of the Rings dungeon porn to Brock from Pokemon keeping her behind in the gym for extra tuition. 

She began publishing her erotic fanfictions under a pseudonym on AO3, pretending to be a stay-at-home Mom named Wendy, though her stadard of writing was clearly the work of an inexperienced but well-read child. Her pre-teen years were dominated by Twilight smut and One Direction Imagines, trawling the internet for synonyms for ‘thrust’. When she began to develop real crushes on actual people in her class, it became a kind of therapy. She worked through her urges with pieces of long, My Immortal style fanfic about Mickey From Calculus or Chris From The Bus Stop. By the time Bridget was fourteen and actually having sex on the soggy tiled floor of a swimming pool changing room, she felt thoroughly prepared -- almost disturbingly so -- earning herself the name of something of a sex goddess on the playground, and willing to teach any boy who’d lend her a game for her Nintendo.

The habit followed her into adulthood. It seemed harmless, and when approaching the topic of her constant sexual preoccupations in therapy, it was almost encouraged as a way of processing her sexuality and confronting the urge in a safe and self-sufficient way. At sixteen, women began to appear in her fanfics, starting with Arwen and soon growing to encompass Princess Leia, Katniss Everdeen, and Kitty Pryde from X-Men. From her late teens onwards, Bridget began to catologue her fictions by genre, creating a library that spanned from the hand-scrawled passages of a confused child to the fine-tuned erotic novellas of a sexually-developed young adult. While many of her fanfics are now stored either on an external hard drive or stashed the wardrobe of her Colorado trailer home, the more recent editions are saved on her desktop for later editing. Chances are, if Bridget has ever had a personal relationship with you, you’ll appear at some point in her archive of erotica, however platonic the relationship may seem.

DOES ANYONE ELSE KNOW THIS SECRET?

While Cori was looking through Bridget’s laptop for an image to post on her facebook timeline for her birthday, she discovered a folder of Bridget’s fanfiction, assorted by student. There are several featuring Lana, one or two about Ophelia, even a Josh one. Bridget knows these could affect her relationships with her friends big time if they found out she’s been secretly god-modding fictional sex with them, so she made Cori promise not to tell anyone.

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOUR CHARACTER HAS TO HIDE?

IN GENERAL : He started an affair with a married pastor on the exact night before his wedding - and they still hook up every few weeks. 

IN DETAIL : 

Dakota never liked church. He didn’t believe in God , he didn’t enjoy sitting still for an hour or so listening to a Kermit the Frog-voiced priest preach about gibberish he’d never remember. But he still went - even when he was an adult , he was still dragged along to it. But normally , he had someone to catch his eye : Tatiana. And when they were both twenty-one and Tatiana was dating some other guy , maybe Dakota tried to put his mind elsewhere.

Pastor Thomas was 23 and handsome and definitely got along well with Dakota when they talked. He’d often jokingly voice about saving the wayward youth from his disbelief in God , and happily engaged to his girlfriend , he started a friendship with the Sampson’s eldest. But friendship quickly led to the pastor bringing Dakota to his house the night before , and leaving kisses on his neck and still talking about making him see God led to something more than friendship.

The next day , he was married. Dakota thought it was a one-night thing , maybe a celebration of Thomas’ last night as a bachelor. But it was not.

Their meetings were always in secret , and more often than not , in the private areas of the church. Dakota , still hung-up on Tatiana , often saw the meetings as a distraction. And more often than not he didn’t try to talk to the wife when coming across her in church. A nice lady , definitely - loved her husband. Dakota would desperately try to learn as least as possible about her to diminish the guilt of being the other man.

It got even worse when she announced to the church she was pregnant this past December , now five months along and the affair still continuing behind her back. It’s an awful thing , to think of destroying a newly developing family like the homewrecker you are.

It’s wrong , yes. But somehow Dakota finds himself still answering yes whenever that familiar name proposes a “get-together” , and every time he says it’ll be the last.

But it never is.

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOUR CHARACTER HAS TO HIDE? : Uhhh , yeah. We’re gonna organize this neatly and make a list : 

Wrote Tatiana love letters planning to elope with her in December , but then cut off all plans since he wanted to stay behind and look after Jackie. ( Tatiana had all the letters in her dorm , parting gifts from Dakota when they cut it off. And Dakota thought she was being genuine - she wasn’t. He was being led on , again. He still has a ring he planned to give her. )

On his 21st birthday , he saved up enough money to spend on a weekend trip to Las Vegas. There , he got married to a total stranger he partied with that night , and only found her and divorced her a month later.

IN GENERAL: he’s lying to his parents about his major.

IN DETAIL: both of his parents are extremely ambitious and worked their asses off starting at around his age to provide castiel the life that he now has. they value work, determination and are definitely the sort of people who see failures as lessons and all that good stuff, which cas lacks. his parents hearts are in the right place for the most part, as busy as they are, they’re not power hungry. they still spend time with their family and have great values when it comes to it. but they see their company as their second child, and assume that castiel is just like the two of them, when it’s not the case. cas has always wanted to pursue his passion for painting and street art, and he’s always been to scared to voice it out, because he knows his parents wouldn’t understand him. and ever since he was little he’s always been closer to his mother than his father, as he treated his son more as an asset, successor, an heir to his company. their relationship has always been a bit shallow and consists of very casual small talks, the perfect father and son conversations you see on tv, so castiel is scared to take his stand for the first time ever and destroy his father’s dream. he has every reason to think it might bring out a bad side in his father that he’s never seen before, because although he’s a CEO of a rapidly growing company, he was once a troubled kid, coming from a very bad family, with aggressive and criminal tendencies. so castiel has gone to large extents to keep this secret from everyone.

DOES ANYONE ELSE KNOW THIS SECRET?: the only person who ever found out his secret was tatiana and it’s only because she listened in on his phone conversation with his father. cas and her were once friends, or at least he considered her one. that quickly changed when she found out his secret and decided to blackmail him (e.g. by making him do things like forcing him to flirt with her friends, letting her crash at his place, borrowing his /very/ expensive car, making him her personal designated driver etc).
