Small brass bound coopered naval rum cask. Full size grog barrels of this form were to be found on board ship to hold rum and was rationed out to the crew. This example was probably made to be presented to the ship’s captain or the wardroom, England, 1800 -1830

The wardroom on DS9 is carpeted in hideous dull reds and greens, a common color scheme in Cardassian design. When the wardroom is not in use, the glowing white work-table, small ceiling lights, and windows cast a dim light on the carpet, which soaks it all up and obliterates it.

and i also picked up some yummy baked goods at weather gage - croissant, cinnamon sour cream coffee cake, pecan puff cookie, and macadamia coconut roll. (not shown: olive oil cake that my sis and i scarfed down - it was so good and moist *drools*)
