#quarantinegains I'm not talking about physique gains or strength gains, I'm talking about what I've gained thanks to some extra time on my hands. What I've gained in quarantine: more long walks and my body LOVES it. What are your thoughts on walking? I used to think it was wa waste of my precious workout time. Welp friends, I was wrong. The benefits of walking are immense and the best part its attainable for so so many people. Benefits of Walking: - improved global (total body) blood flow - improved mood - increased cardiovascular and pulmonary health - reduced risk of heart disease and stroke - decreased muscle stiffness - decreased pain - improved balance and coordination - increased muscle strength and endurance I highly recommend walking as a active recovery day or as a cardiovascular endurance day. It's great as a warm up OR as a "workout". I have found that it is SUPER helpful for my clients with upper body pain. Honestly, it is one of my new favorite activities. What are your thoughts?
