#vrishya

Between trying to finish my Valentines/LS3 writing and work I decided to stick my main and most written about characters into a line up.

Left to RIght: Vrishya, Odette De Lys, Aelestri, Varyllis, Ateyla, Faerylie, Klivvik, Caerthys, Tasia Wraithrend, Ellie Blacksmith, Erebus Swiftreaper, Lyaeris, Fyianna and Phenriel.

General Things:

Vrishya is old for a Sylvari and unlike her youthful, curious and childlike siblings has a maturity that doesn’t quite befit her race. Still, that doesn’t detract from her fire and wit. Being a thief, she’s sharp as her tools, picks up on people like she’s known them her whole life and tends to enjoy ‘company’ frivolously. Mostly because she finds it easier to feed on fears and nightmares when they’re sleeping, but the rest is fun too.

In her own Dream she learned of dancing of all kinds, ballet being her favoured style, and the less literal social dances between people and politics. Then there was the art of assassination, a swift, silent dance of death. 

Odette is not old for a human but is very similar in age to Vrishya. Her parents weren’t the most attentive of Nobles, often trying to leave their daughter with someone else under the guise of teaching her new things. One of these things included ballet lessons under a strange Sylvari teacher. Vrishya, working in Divinity’s Reach as a very picky, exclusive dance tutor, took five year old Odette in as her student. 

While named for the Black Swan of the Swan Lake ballet, Odette, a talented and very skilled ballerina, would never have been able to take the part of her namesake. Vrishya would never doubt her skill, but Odette is as fiery as the mentor that practically raised her. Calm, quiet and stoic, all to hide the devilish character inside that could snipe you down with wit before you even knew it was coming. Would most be suited to roles like Kitri (Don Quixote), Esmeralda (La Esmeralda) or Carmen; anything that required a vibrant, powerful and explosive dancer that could still hold her elegance and grace.

Like her mentor and nightmares, Odette’s attraction to the consumption of magic leads to a lot of questions on what her true nature is.
