The story is incredibly touching, covering a lot of ground on what it's like to be a traumatized teenager and an equally traumatized adult. I'd call it a happy ending, but there are definitely a lot of heavy moments. Definitely recommend reading.

Unusual pairings, and really a lot of details and worldbuilding in all directions.

Finding You in The Before and The After by FightFireWithFire

The story is from Draco's POV, who runs away with Harry, who has survived torture/memory loss and a lot of other things. But honestly, there are almost no graphic details of the cruelty itself, only details of the rehabilitation afterward, with the war happening "off-screen."

Plus, the story is part of a series that includes side stories about other characters (but if you don't want spoilers, don't even open the series until you finish the main fic).

To repay him for saving them, the Kamado family saves(adopt) him, even if they're terrified at first. So far, the work is very interesting to me, even if the plot hasn't progressed super far yet.

It has an open ending with yet another attempt by the Hashira to get closer to Tomioka. It's interesting, but I think the ending could have been better, even if the plot feels "finished."

Hinokami's Future by fallingakiangels

I highlighted it because I think it's presented in a really interesting way, plus so far each chapter is shown from a unique POV. Very sweet interactions between the Kamado siblings and Tomioka, and a fairly realistic portrayal of the characters considering the era the canon takes place in.

Still In Deep Water by gwendee

Except he has no idea how it's happening or how much he can change before his knowledge of the future becomes useless (but damn it, he is going to save Sabito). Plus, Akaza and Tanjiro unexpectedly get involved. To me, it's a semi-open, semi-happy ending. A fairly light read for this genre, though it has its heavy moments. (I suspect the author will release a sequel since they made it a series, but right now there's only one work. We'll wait and see).

Act One: First Drop by Kuroecchi

Only the first part is out so far, but I already love it. It starts with the canon first meeting with the Kamado siblings, but then things change because Tomioka keeps bringing everyone together, even if he doesn't believe he's actually changing anything. Bittersweet, but with a happy ending so far.

The Trickle of Blood and Blue by InnogenRenz
