Are Ts more prone to be vindictive because of a lower F function? Most of my T friends handle rejection or break ups poorly by pretending they are fine, trying to hurt the other person by preteding they are better off without them before detaching completely.
No. Anger is a universal human emotion and vindictiveness is a common extension of anger. Some forms of anger are morally justifiable. However, it is often the case that anger merely comes out of entitlement. If your core beliefs are rooted in entitlement, then you are primed to perceive negative events in terms of you being “robbed” of something. This makes you very easily triggered into anger and, subsequently, vindictive behavior that seeks to punish whatever you believe has wronged or robbed you.
Vindictiveness should be distinguished from justice; the former is the dirty work of a sad and wounded ego, whereas the latter is the noble work of trying to restore fairness to an unfair situation. When anger is morally justifiable, then it should be channeled into seeking justice, to rectify what was done wrong in a way that restores everyone's well-being. However, people with poor emotional intelligence tend to confuse vindictiveness for justice. Their actions are destructive to people's well-being, including their own. Poor emotional intelligence is not limited to Ts.
When a person is unable to regulate their anger due to being entitled, it is a sign of poor self-awareness, and perhaps even narcissism in extreme cases. Poor self-awareness goes hand-in-hand with poor emotional intelligence. Your type doesn’t cause you to have low self-awareness, but low self-awareness leads to you being a less than stellar example of your type.
A flash of insight that resonates:
Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) on Twitter.
The lame ass Trumpsters pushing the Dear Leader’s lie that he really won the 2020 election think that firing Liz Cheney from her leadership position in the House GOP will silence her.
In fact, Cheney will become the go-to person for journalists whenever they want to balance a crazy Trump statement with one from a dissenting Republican.
Her term as a US Representative from Wyoming won’t expire until 03 January 2023. Because she won’t be in the GOP House leadership, she will be able to speak even more freely and vociferously than she is able to at present.
Cheney’s near-term future in the GOP may not be very auspicious, but she can give Trump and his sycophants plenty of indigestion in the next 19 months.
And as Mitt hinted, the official GOP acceptance of Trump’s obvious election lie will continue to turn off suburban voters, especially white women with college degrees, who used to vote Republican.
But Trump never let good judgement get in the way of his acts of vindictiveness. No matter how much it hurts him or the Republican Party, he needs to get his pound of virtual flesh.

in the amerika, in a heat wave, the landlords remove the handles from water spouts... i am spiteful and vindictive only as much as the spite and vindictiveness is imbued in the attempts to kill the dehydrated people.
Im typing a character & considering whether she is IFP or IFJ(Im ISTJ). I lean on unhealthy INFJ for her arc of being betrayed: she got petty & plotted revenge. Fe users resent others that did them wrong more than Fi, right? But I was refuted Its easier for FPs to be vindictive. Chara aside, can you tell me what type gets vindictive for being wronged more easily: Fe bc they value mutual agreement & being socially approved, or Fi bc their boundaries & precious feelings violated? Thanks a lot.
Acting upon vindictiveness generally tends to be a complicated multifactorial decision, thus, it cannot be reduced to a single function.
