Thank you!!! Itās like, yeah, I completely understand the need to destigmatize body features and to promote neutrality but likeā¦ historically speaking? Society DOES favor certain features over others and thatās important to recognize even if you disagree with it, imo. Of course, exactly which features are favored changed based on things such as culture, location, time periodā¦ like, I was a kid in the late 90s / early 00s and I donāt doubt that, had I grown up a little later, I probably wouldnāt have been bullied the way I was because beauty standards have changed a bit since then. But like, itās pretty obvious people change certain features of established characters to make them more appealing to them and pointing that out is definitely not the same as going āhey I find those features unappealing myselfā.
Like, I was talking about male characters myself but this effect is much more visible in female characters when theyāre drawn by certain artists. Some people straight up canāt draw characters unless they make them attractive for their own standards! Like, if you search for fanart of sayā¦ Mei from Overwatch, a character whoās canonically chubby, youāll be buried in art of her having her usual breast size but a tiny waist instead. Same thing with Zarya, whoās canonically very muscular but is often drawn much less so.
And remember the whole thing with the Hex Maniac trainer from PokĆ©mon? I didnāt know that she canonically has small breasts in her in-game artwork for the longest time because every single fan art Iāve seen of her had her with big boobs instead.

i love ! their hair swirlies :3 those big uh side bang things idk what the word for that part of the hairstyle is but i love it, i think it's exactly what they need to convey their character & fits the sf style very well ! fun to draw too, even if they tend to block things :'D other than that, i just like their face

i went a through a bunch of pieces to look for something else but i always give the good lines to fang, apparently... so the one that comes to mind anyway is from a talk with ken, 6-era

it's hard to understate just what shari's done for me! their whole concept has taught me a lot about myself and made me a lot happier! their design is a little weak, i think, though, and over-complicated in places
