Verin and Keyleth become penpals and he learns how to press flowers and flora properly so he can send her little things from Xhorhas he thinks she’d like with his letters

Keyleth keeps them all in a book because she finds it cute (he blushes when he finds out)

Verin tries desperately to keep a plant in his home alive so he can proudly show Keyleth if she comes to visit. He calls it his “Keyleth plant” and talks to this plant about her (like the himbo he is) and when Keyleth finds out she thinks its adorable

Keyleth lets out her rage in sparring matches with Verin and finds it very cathartic, he’s a good sparring opponent but she always wins

When talking about Vax everyone in VM is too close to it all and she feels very free talking about it with Verin, who understands grief and offers a different approach and perspective on it as a drow

Verin really admires Keyleth’s leadership and becomes a better commander in Bazzoxan because of it
