2023 has been a fantastic year of self-acceptance overall for me, and Iβm finally embracing that I donβt have to do things βthe right wayβ, I can just do things my way. The way things in my life were always supposed to be.
From feeling like I wasnβt supposed to be polykin, to feeling like I wasnβt supposed to voluntarily identify as any nonhuman things (otherlink) and my involuntary kintypes were the only ones that βmatteredβ, to feeling like I canβt have more than a certain amount of xenogender labelsβ¦ Iβm just done. I just donβt care anymore.
My journey officially started when I began posting to this blog. Back then, I was starting to accept myself more, but I was still very fearful and still living by other peopleβs rules. Other peopleβs thresholds for the validity of my identity and life. How dumb is that?
Well, Iβm doing whatever I want now and no amount of people telling me Iβm invalid is going to stop me. People always say βbe yourselfβ until itβs something they personally dislike, and Iβve realized that now. This is my life! Not yours! Itβs about damn time I fully embrace that.
