But Zahn did great starting off with telling their feelings then showing their trust in each other. How deep it goes. How she trusts him to kill her and the little ones, how deep the trust is that Un'hee's mind knows to trust him. How he shares info with her. How he doesn't choose to see Thrawn at the end, but remains on the Steadfast when they're finally safe.

And the brainrot of the years to follow- because they have time. They have time to fall in love past their early crush and friendship. I have so much post Treason thoughts that I've only had in my mind for 11 hours but also-they have time and years and Thranto doesn't and it's so much funner to explore the time after Treason. At least until we get Ahsoka :/ But Ahsoka has so much room to screw so much up in my eyes. I'm terrified of Ahsoka screwing up my Rebels and Chiss families.

It's sweet to imagine them caring for Un'hee. Helping her through her trauma over the next couple years until she's calling them mom and dad and after their sights fade, they adopt her and give her a little sibling and she's never forced to babysit-they want her to be a teenager, but she spends hours with their bio kids, so gentle with them. So they never have to feel the harshness she and their parents went through. Un'hee is the gentlest big sister in the galaxy and it breaks their heart now shared hearts-because they remember the traumatized seven-year-old girl who clung to them, only trusting them and Ar'alani. And she'll do anything to protect their children from the darkness that threatens outside the walls of the life they all fought to have together.

But that's the point. They have each other, their family of four or five and that's all they've needed in the world. It's fun and sweet and that's why they're fun.

I have ideas and I kinda feel guilty because I started out shipping Thranto and I do but literally everyone does so I feel wrong to ship Eli with someone else but screw it. People ship Eli and Kallus. I can go the bi route and ship Eli and Vah'nya.

Day 15 - Promotion

Eli Vanto got promoted (see the new uniform which is too big for him, because I have no idea how Chiss promotions work), so Vah'nya got him ice cream

Eli loves ice cream, but he's scared that Ar'alani will kill him if he accidentally touches Vah'nya's hand or gets ice cream on his uniform

What I also need deep down: An Eli/Vah'nya romance book with the theme of found family/choice after all her years of being forced to being a skywalker and his years of being forced into the command track as Thrawn's aid. And they both loved it, but neither chose it(He had a bit more chose, to enter the Imperial army and reup his commission, but past that, it was all orders). Exploring Vah'nya's sight still being around 8+ years after it was supposed to be and how much that must weigh on her. Why she's known him for a year or so but she impresses on Un'hee that he is one of the only two she can trust on a ship full of chiss. Eli continuing to adjust to Chiss culture and life and command structure as he climbs the rank. Their love and care for Un'hee. More good Ar'alani moments. Battles against the gysks, fearing this time will be the escape pod but it never is. Some side Che'ri, Borika, and Thalias when they come to port to discuss Eli's dataset.

Realistic truth: I would rather the novel because that's Zahn AND because I have a gut feeling the show is going to make Thrawn the big bad and evil evil and I just... Am not sure if that's a path I want Eli to go down especially after 12ish years with Ar'alani, Un'hee, Vah'nya, etc. I love novel Thranto but I think big bad Thrawn is a path Eli wouldn't want to follow. One day, he would've. But not anymore. And perhaps, that's why he was sent away.

Anyone feel this way?

Also realistic truth: Once I have a better idea of Eli and Thrawn and Vah'nya's futures it'll be easier to write both ships post Treason so I'll get the Ahsoka show, say oh this is where Thrawn was kthxbye evil!Thrawn and go back to novel Thrawn whose only priority is the gysks with that info. Like a good part of me is expecting to accept it as an info source but not a canon source.
