Incredibly viscerally embarrassing to watch someone blunder into a technical and high context discussion of something to condescendingly explain the primary-school lies-to-children version of it like it's an unprecedented revaluation

If there’s one thing that drives me insane it’s learned helplessness. And I know, I know it’s a stress response to trauma and a lot of people aren’t even aware they’re doing it, but unfortunately my childhood trauma is having to be the person who did everything because none of the adults had a handle on their shit, so unfortunately I have a short fuse when it comes to the kind of people who need a longer fuse and, well. You can see the conundrum this puts us in.

Increasingly irritated at the idea of Sirius being the good one and Oriin the bad one. The point of Sirius is that he thinks he's the good one, that Ryoku argues on the basis of honour, and he does the exact same stuff. Both of them are just vaguely slaughtering their way through reality and one another, and the only real difference is aesthetic. Ryoku/Sirius murder everyone in their way because they're the good guys, so surely it should be the right thing? Especially to keep out that monster Orion? Whilst Orion also butchers his way through the world, and I am yet to see any particular claim to morality. Ultimately, the weapons of the family tell you about them, and Sirius' issue is his pride and his certainty that he is better, in every way.
