Time for another uribr but with terms this time because I'm tired of seeing them be misused!!
Also we've gained,,, about a hundred people since the last one so!! Uribr stands for underrepresented identities being represented and I've done a ton of them!! (You can always send an ask for an identity to be in one but I can't promise I will do it immediately) Each of them is in the uribr tag on my blog!
So!! Let's just,,, get into it?

Romance favorable/indifferent/repulsed and sex favorable/indifferent/repulsed are terms used by people to describe their feelings on romance or sex. There are also other terms like romance/sex complicated or tired.
These defining terms can be used by anyone, though they are mostly used by aros and aces.
Romance/Sex Favorable: Enjoying romance/sex for themselves and/or in media.
Romance/Sex Indifferent: Not caring about/not bothered by romance/sex for themselves and/or in media.
Romance/Sex Repulsed: Being repulsed by romance/sex for themselves and/or in media.
Romance/Sex Complicated: Fluctuate between being romance/sex repulsed/indifferent/favorable and/or experiences multiple of these simultaneously.
Romance/Sex Tired: Feelings on romance/sex fluctuate depending on how much you have been exposed to.
Sometimes these feelings can coexist. Someone might enjoy romance in media, but be repulsed for themselves, and usually that's where the term romance complicated comes in if the person decides to label their feelings on romance.
Not everyone does this, though. Some people just don't label their feelings on romance/sex, and that is completely valid.
Sometimes, I see people using the terms sex/romance positive, negative, or neutral. Even I used these terms instead of the ones above before I knew what they meant. But these are not used by the majority of the aro/ace community (to describe their feelings on romantic attraction) because they are actually political standpoints.
(These definitions are just going to be pulled straight from Google)
Sex Positive: Having or promoting an open, tolerant, or progressive attitude towards sex and sexuality.
Sex Negative: Sex negativity refers to a mind-set that sex is inherently dirty, dangerous, risky, pathological or deviant.
Sex Neutral: Not differentiated on the basis of sex.
So in more simple terms sex negative people are against any sex that is not heterosexual or "vanilla." They could also be against porn workers, strippers, etc.
Romance positive/negative/neutral aren't political terms, but they are rarely used over the terms favorable/neutral/repulsed because of the connotation with the sex political standpoints.
It's okay if you misused these terms in the past, but now you're informed on what they actually mean! Please never fully assume that a person is using the sex positive/negative/neutral terms politically until you ask, because some people still might not know that they are actually political standpoints!
I hope that this helped, and if you want me to do any uribr's on a specific identity or term then just send me an ask and I'll do it!
