Thandi doesn't really believe in love at first sight, because of how complicated love can be. It takes them a while to become truly comfortable with someone, which means it takes even longer to actually develop romantic feelings. That being said, they can turn of reality for a while and enjoy a cheesy romcom with love at first sight.
