where do i even start mm maybe at the part where idk anything about either of them having come close to dying like sure avery's missing but there's not really any evidence that her life is in danger and so far it seems she does have a plan so like i don't think they're any closer to losing each other for good than they were in the hawthorne legacy yk. unless you're talking about something else that hasn't happened yet in which case well i haven't read that book so idgaf.

i also don't think you (as in people in general) should be getting married out of fear?? of having almost lost each other?? and i don't see the point of arguing "why would they wait if this changes nothing really" bc like yeah and if it changes nothing why would they rush it lmao. they're committed to each other and they live together so if legally binding themselves to one another has no impact on their relationship then that's as much of a reason not to feel the need to do it right away, and otherwise there's no difference between getting married now or at 18 so why did they choose to wait then and not now? i'd argue that surviving a traumatizing experience like whatever it is that happens in tgb is itself a reason to not immediately get married. they should take the time to heal and wait till they feel like some degree of okay before doing that. it's not like they're just signing a paper and wedding planning is exhausting like why would they willingly put themselves through that process 0.5 seconds after almost dying bye.

but whatever let's say it's in character and makes sense for them. i don't really care and i would hate the wedding epilogue regardless of how "fitting" or not it was because the problem is not in avery and jameson's choices at all. avery and jameson are fictional characters. i care about the real author jennifer lynn barnes and her decision to showcase the happily ever after of a young woman barely in her twenties by having her get married. i care about the fact that she wrote avery wanting to go to college, having a passion for a specific field, and then instead of ending her story with ehr working on her foundation and going to college with her boyfriend, she chooses to end it with a wedding. i am sick and tired of authors using "and then they got married and had babies" as a synonym for "and then they lives happily ever after the end". this isn't a new stage for her and jameson's relationship this is the end and she's only marrying them off to wrap it all up in a neat little bow. i care that the main audience for this series are teen girls and young women and jennifer is choosing to end it with the message that a happy ending equals getting married in your twenties over anything else despite having previously established that neither of the involved characters are in a rush to get married and have other more immediate ambitions to pursue. avery and jameson were already in their happily ever after and then she dragged them back into the main plot and gave them a wedding ending to make it a Real happily ever after well she could've kept it idgaf.

First we see Jett like, three-four times in game and we have one ONE moment where she says Urbain/Taunie's jacket seemed familiar. And that's just it??

Unless I forget stuff, (which is likely tbh💀), we are never shown she suffers some kind of loss, that she misses or is looking for someone as well. Also Team MZ has been working with Quasartico Company since even before meeting MC so why didn't the president noticed the rival's jacket way sooner?? 😭 And it also makes Emma look like a bad detective, maybe you can blame it on overworking but she probably was on Jett's case since for a while before getting the exact same type of case from the rival themselves ?? And her eureka moment was that darn jacket?? That has been there since the begining?? I???😭😭

It just seem bizarre and like a rushed up conclusion for Urbain/Taunie. There's nothing emotionnal or even sweet about that reunion because we barely saw Jett, the rival doesn't know their grandmother, besides some stories told by their mother, they only ever known the CEO they work for. Outside of speaking about their mom/daughter the exchange feels formal and distant. (the fact the characters faces have a sad expression for only a few moment before returning to the default smile doesn't help but that's another thing)

WHAT I MEAN is they're already struggling with hotel promotion material, while im sure they can take good care of the place itself, they haven't been attracting customers. They're really good trainers and are dedicated to protect Lumoise City ! But they also did get themselves and Team MZ in a really crappy situation by BORROWING MONEY TO THE LOCAL GANG. (Okay Corvault isn't all that bad and cruel, he isn't evil evil just uh not the guy with the most honest buissness).

I just don't see the rival being in that position and "leaving" Team MZ or well, Hotel Z. ESPECIALLY after A.Z's death,,, (still not over that btw) Like the man welcomed them in for basically free, only help to maintain the Hotel. It's said at the very beging that the rival owe alot to AZ so why would they leave the Hotel behind ??? For their mom who already ran away from Quasartico ??? Really? Really?? 😭😭😭

I could maybe, maybe see it in like a ten year timeskip or smth, when this mf bitch Jett passes away or something crazy happens in Lumiose ?? And they take over the company, but even that it feels like a "bad end" of some kind.

Anyway, maybe the dlc will have more explanation and insight on the rival as CEO idk,,,,, sighs,,,, To me this is just a bunch of bullshit ahh😭

i did take singing lessons for a time then pandemic happened and my ass never practiced unless it was a song I liked (rare) so I eventually stopped going. and also second time I got covid nerfed my vocal cords (I kept singing even when my throat was dying so that didnt help) and now my higher vocal range is nerfed (i literally cant scream, fun!!!)

one of my first social medias i was active on was actually a karaoke app (yes it was a thing, I sang so many undertale covers I know it by heart I NEVER WANT TO HEAR MY COVERS OF THEM EVER AGAIN)

but despite everything, singing is still fun even when i suck. I just wouldnt try and share the majority of my mid attempts or say my voice is pretty or anything. okay at best, id say

slightly off topic I need to post more instagram (and twitter) i just find it hard to consistently do so when majority of the time it favors reels and twitter is... yeah. and scary!!! Tumblr is at least more chill. but u can def find a lot of my older art (missing a good year or two of art cuz i stopped posting for a long time)

not to mention the amount of art I have. it gets overwhelming to think how im gonna share it all (´･ω･`; ) AND the fact I go all over the place in fandom/media wise once I hyperfixate on them. it helps when I get support in said thing and keeps it going (undertale is one my special interests which is why it always comes back, even if I dont draw anything cuz i SUCK at drawing skeletons or most undertale characters im literally such a fraud bru) but i love them all the same

oh and some of my interests are not what most ppl like or expect me to be into (like Rick and Morty, Hazbin Hotel, etc) so like. im a lil shy to go outside whatever ppl think I like. even tho I know logically I can just post whatever I want, I just want ppl to make ppl happy whenever they see my art i suppose. or connect or relate or just yk, drive a knife in their heart with angst. either way im going on a tangent here

Soma

- soma is about 26, but is part of a long lived species so her 26 is like 80 for humans

- shes explored her sexuality on multiple occasions, but hasnt found a label so she just goes with whatever her heart desires

- she struggles with sleeping a lot at night because she misses the family she had back home, but is to terrified to go back and see what has changed

- she thinks whenever somebody likes abel is icky, so she constantly showboats just to one up him. its a competition at this point.

- soma is incredibly jealous of anybody who can get permanent tattoos. she would, but her carapace makes it impossible for ink to stay and piercing it is too complicated and too expensive.

- due to her quite literally basically being a beetle, she doesnt exactly wear a lot of clothes as she doesnt breathe like we do. she has a mouth for eating and speaking only. she breathes via spiracles all over her body. clothing would just make that hard, so she only really goes with pants in order to not absolutely freeze her ass off (fluff and shell can only do so much)

- she enjoys making people flustered because it gives her a rush almost; she wasnt well liked outside her family, so old habits tend to rear its head and when she knows people have their eye on her, she uses it. even if shes not actually interested. abels been trying to work on it with her

- because her species is very beetle-like (atlas beetle specifically), she can lift almost 50 times her body weight (and thats lowballing it. atlas beetles can aparently lift fuckin 850 times their weight😭 but im not making her that strong thats just insane)

- shes game for wrestling, and is honestly thinking about making a career out of it and leaving grifting behind

- shes never been able to hold down a solid relationship. either her partner cheats or she cheats. the guilt hangs over her head, and shes almost given up on dating entirely.

- both like to frequent dan's shop (shoutout to the goat @iincogneeto i love their lala sm) but soma tends to make it a game to see what comical item she can steal while abel looks for little trinkets (she is fully aware dan probably knows but its funny af to her and she always brings things back. to 'test his security' she claims)

abel

- hes around 28 years old, aging just a bit slower than humans so the human yr equivalent for him would be about 40

- he didnt have the best home life. no siblings and inattentive parents led to him having a troublesome childhood. think susie but more on the quiet side

- because he grew up fighting, he doesnt hesitate to get into scraps. but hes so piss poor at talking that whenever he and soma go to grift somebody he just has to nod along with whatever she says

- he, like albus, cannot read. not even in his native language. he jusr cant read period. didnt do well in academics to really have that, nor did his parents bother to establish any form of literacy habits at all

- with his lack of reading and social skills, he prefers drawing over everything else. he especially adores this little kids notebook soma bought for him as a gift. fully covered in stickers and everything. he has a glowing star pen that has a cute little chain attached to it. hes a big fan of that stuff and likes wandering into little shops looking for anything else he can collect

- despite his illiteracy, hes very excellent at critical thinking. back home hed often sneak away to just roam around, which led to him walking into multiple bars taverns and all sorts of places where ideas of all kinds where shared. thankfully a bartender had the brilliant idea of teaching him proper critical thinking and how to begin forming his own moral code

- whenever he gets drunk he gets more talkative, giving impassioned speeches to those who need a little bit of hope in their lives

- he doesnt intentionally flirt like soma does, but relying only on someone else to communicate and body language can end up getting misinterpreted (willfully or not) by some people. he has had relationships in the past, though, only two but both being very long lasting and ending amicably

- he does enjoy dressing in a way that shows off his body. soma has taught him body positivity, and finds her little competitions to be very fun and reassuring

- because he has a werewolf-like process of transformation, he has to wear two different belts so his pants dont fuckin fall off his ass. since hes aware before the transformation occurs (its a willful process, like thinking about it really hard) he has to unbuckle one and fasten the other before taking off whatever top he has on so it doesnt rip

- transforming costs major energy, so he has to eat a lot while doing so. as a result he maintains a very balanced diet, and pushes soma to do the same (with some restrictions, as they have different needs due to being different species)
