I think one of my favorite things about casualties unknown is watching which ways to die different people prioritize prepping for. I pretty much always prioritize keeping myself well fed, quenched, and happy above all else, with sterilized dressing and bruise kits being my second priority. What if I break a bone? Well that's future me's problem. What if I am in horrible pain and need pain killers to do about anything? Welp better hope I stumble into some opioids before then. Is that a container full of stimulants? Eh I'll probably be fine if I end up in a situation that'd require those I'd probably be good as dead anyways. Then I watch in horror as other people just pass up perfectly good food just because they're "not hungry" rolls eyes rolls eyes

Y'know the more I see people say stuff like "this game basically requires you to keep a wiki open" the more I become pro games not explaining shit to you. Like have we forgotten about the concept of trial and error. Sometimes a game doesn't tell you exactly how to do everything because you're supposed to y'know. Try to figure it out yourself. If you don't have the patience for that that's fine but that's not always some glaring flaw in the game itself.

For the record, a big component of Jacob's lack of sympathy towards Shao and Maxwell comes from the fact that he actually did see Juliet at a friend before the incident, so since a lot of his beef with them is projection it doesn't rly occur to him that they see Juliet as y'know. Their superior. Who has a lot of power over them. Or more accurately, he just can't rly picture what that looks like for them. Juliet has a lot of power over him too, but he's just never really seen her as fundamentally above him in the way she just sort of Is. At least the way she is for the other two.

Ok fine I'll finally stop neglecting Maxwell and Shao for a minute. Jacob watching Juliet move on to trying to shape Maxwell into taking his place as the gold standard and instead of understanding and being sympathetic to the fact that she's using them just as much as she used him he decides to eldest daughter post about it. And then when Maxwell watches Juliet move on from them to Shao they start plotting the murder plan immediately but alas they became fully established before they could set a plan in motion. But hey at least they're both pretty mutually losing at the ensuing mind games.

Fun fact abt Suckerz, conceptually they've existed since I first started drawing. She didn't exist as she is now, but her general vibe and many design elements (and even it's purpose) have been floating around in my head for ages and ages. It kind of existed in two other forms before it's current iteration back when I was a kid, a digimon oc for roleplays (I think I called her like beatramon or smth?) and a old lilo and stitch experiment oc (I made a lot of those as a kid). They've always existed as a hypothetical sona/mascot for any music I may make in the future, and they continue to serve that role. In a sense it can be argued that it's my oldest currently active oc, but I don't think it's entirely fair to say that Suckerz is the same character that those old two were. She's just the modern iteration of the concepts they both had.
