I'm sure this is pretty obvious but I in fact really enjoy thinking abt long term timeloop scenarios. No more of that pansy shit that teaches you good life lessons then ends give me those long ass timeloops that mean nothing and leave everyone worse off for it <3

#rat rambles #like lace originated as being my og timeloop story where the main point was the aftermath of the loops #with the loops having been explicitly not having a win condition aside from the hidden one of enough time passing #how does one come back from a scenerio like that. especially when they had long given up hope on escaping #it's an element of lace's character that unfortunately is doomed to be mostly lost in the modern version of the story #still makes me sad sometimes. I love my guys dearly but it's true that the og story idea is far more conceptually compelling to me #I just worldbuilded myself into a corner and had to adjust lol #but yeah in louis' case it's much more of the focus of what happens in the Long long term within the loops themselves #cause like angela was also there for all of them hense me also liking her a lot but her experience was fundamentally different #still extremely fucked up but in a way where she was more or less forced into an unchanging routine #which is y'know. because she did have a place in the loops end condition. the loops were still pointless to her but her place in the loops #wasn't pointless to the loops themselves #louis' was. it made no difference how long he could survive any given loop or even if he made an appearance at all.#the loops ending on a loop where he survived was just pure luck #I enjoy exploring how that affected his perspective on his situation and his behavior over the many Many years #especially since he has a squishy human brain that can't in fact hold ten thousand years of memories in vivid detail #lace was about how you come back from giving up and louis is about what happens in the years and years after you've given up #oc posting #lobotomy posting

I think abt daniel from that era and get very sad.
