A while back, my bestie pixie (@/pixiefeatherkw3) and I were talking about Killer having trouble identifying his feelings in his atrophied state so Dust and Horror try to help him out as best they can.
As a personal experience, dealing with frustration and not knowing how to handle it is absolute shit so I thought I'd imagine Killer would have the same difficulties, although this is more of a personal view than something that appeals to the character's canon. Then, accidentally, Horror and Dust manage to make Killer suffer a setback and Nightmare has to intervene because it turns out these two aren't capable of doing the only purpose they were given.
And if until now it was difficult to make a tolerable coexistence, Killer isolates himself after that episode because he can't help but think that Dust and Horror did it on purpose.
