Covid-19 is never far away, neither is what’s happening out there, particularly with the new variant, which will change again, the vaccine and with the new wave it’s reminding us of the need to be vigilant.

Reading a recent article by Kirstie Allsopp  in the Guardian, she is candid and says what we think, but dare not say. I am in awe of that. I also say quite a lot on my blog, but I’m not as candid, or direct as her. I cushion what I say and how I say it, but our perceptions are very much the same. The truth is we're both in disbelief in how Covid-19 is being handled.

It might not make us popular, but I’m not going to worry about that. We’re seeking out the truth and there’s nothing wrong with that. My blog is based on truth and I shan’t be making excuses for it.

What I love is that both my parents agree on what I write, through my courage mum is healed and my father is changing in spirit. They champion what I do from afar and love the fact that I speak the truth. They are both enormously proud.

How they see life from spirit now is how they should have seen life this side; in spirit they now see the bigger picture, and I couldn’t be prouder of them.

My father would probably have something to say about today's politics. He would be alarmed about what’s happening with the UK Government and Covid-19. But he’s probably looking down thinking how much better off he and mum are now and I can't say I blame them.

There is no doubt that mistakes continue to be made, and the wider public is the poorer for it. With the new Omicron variant now in full swing, the UK Government are hurriedly trying to adapt the current vaccines to fit the new variant, but what happens when we have another new variant after Omicron, what then?

We're not done with Covid-19, or dare I say, Covid-19 isn't done with us. The UK Government is literally swinging by the seat of its pants as they continue to struggle their way through the pandemic.

Whilst any politician in the public gaze would struggle to cope with the enormity of an unprecedented pandemic, as any serving PM, it is important to want to do your best for the people you serve, and not dabble with ego and self-serving politics.
