In EVERY universe, every comic or oc world or anything, there are the universal constants.
These lovely eternally doomed fellas are what I call the originals. They're the ones everything in this system is built upon.

Usually theres just two, but there are occasionally multiple sets of them are in one universe. (Only project i have with multiple sets so far is No Control. Theres an oddly large amount of them in no control.) But they all are reflections of the same two people.
They're stuck living lives over and over in every universe and in pretty much all of those instances they are doomed.
Every universe is slightly different for how they look and act. They're not carbon copies of the originals, each constant is their own unique person with their own hopes, dreams, feelings etc. They just happen to be connected to the originals through paralells or other various things.
They are not always cats but it is common for them to be. Similarly, they are not always my ocs, sometimes the universal constants can be canon characters from whatever media they're in. They are everywhere, they are always present.
