S vajon honnan jönnek ezek a sablonok? Hiszen mindannyian emberek vagyunk.
I think Zerophobia is a nice initiative, and I hope it will reach many people. It is never too early to start undoing our conventional education to which we have been exposed to since a very early age â probably from the times we learn to formulate ideas in the mother tongue â because we learn those stereotypes as well, which our parents and our society deem necessary for safely navigating in life. But where do all these stereotypes come from? Probably, in most of the cases we cannot tell anymore. It is so because it has always been so, from generation to generation. This attitude cannot be expressed in words, rather, the way we react in certain situations reveals its presence. Many people don't understand why platforms such as Zerophobia are needed because prejudice is not a concept we can grab in concrete terms, neither something written in the law. But when a person studies only one culture other than her own and compares her findings to all the fright and xenophobia she sees around her, she starts to seek out opportunities to get first-hand experience instead of relying on books or on her environment exclusively. This is exactly what this new project provides space for: since the emphasis is on real experiences, which we can use to build bridges rather than walls. Because we are all humans.
