Notes: this is for all the pharmacists and pharmacy techs out there! I wish there was a bit more representation for us in The Pitt ngl. π₯Ή
I intentionally put Abbot as a teetotaller just because Shawn Hatosy is. :)
The meds mistake was inspired by many similar incidents i've had to deal with! And the pink scrubs and space buns were a patient favourite in my clinic.
You sighed and glanced at the clock. It was already past your usual time to clock out, and you were just about ready to call it a day but end of day jobs were just never ending. The thought of sinking into a hot bath was the only thing keeping you going. But of course, life had other plans.
A call from the ER interrupted the five minutes silence you've had all day. A very angry doctor was on the phone demanding your presence in the ER.Β
You couldnβt help but roll your eyes at his insufferable tone. You didnβt mind working with doctors, but some had that insufferable God complex that you preferred to avoid; anything to keep the peace youβd worked so hard to maintain.
Back in the ER, doctors were working on a patient whoβd been brought it for the third time in a month for having a pulmonary embolism. This time it was a double PE which nearly ended up killing him.Β
βThey say third time is a charm but fuck me Mr McCoy you need to stop coming in.β Dr Ellis was frustrated as she worked on the unconscious patient.
βWhy the hell does he keep having PEβs?β Dr Abbot, the attending physician added.Β
βNo damn clue. Is he even having his meds?β She asked. βHey Ogilvie, could you have a quick look at McCoyβs prescription please?β
Ogilvie, a medical student, looked through the patientβs charts as well as his ordering history.
βIt says here his Eliquis, his blood thinning medication was stopped.βΒ
βWhat!β Abbot snapped. βWho the fuck by!β He snapped as he frantically tried to stabilise the patient.
βOur clinical pharmacist upstairs. Reasoning: Change to medication regime. She hasnβt documented anything else though.β Ogilvie replied with zero emotions or urgency to the situation.Β
You walked through the ER doors, rocking your favourite pair of scrubs; bright pink Figs. You always believed that looking good made for a better day, so you opted for cheerful, vibrant colours. Your hair was styled in two small space buns, with the rest of it softly curled and resting on your shoulders. You sipped on your iced drink and found the charge nurse. βHey Lena.β
βHey sweet! What brings you to the chaos?β
βAn angry phone call from one of your doctors.β You let out a sigh. βOggy vee, something like that?β
βAh yes thats our med student heβs over there.β She pointed at one of the rooms. βYou should come see us more often.β
βAs much as I love seeing your beautiful face Lena, I prefer peace and quiet.β You flirted. βYour doctors scare me and also Iβm happy up there.β
βYou look it, sweet.β
βThank you.β You winked at her and walked over to that room as you sipped on your drink.Β
You walked into the madness of machines beeping, doctors rushing around, everyone in a hurry.
βSomeone called for a consult?β
Your eyes met a doctor you hadnβt seen before. He looked to be in his mid 40s maybe 50s? He was handsome as hell.
Dr Abbot glanced over at you and then to Ellis, and then back at you with a double take. He not only was taken aback by your bright scrubs, but also your whole demeanour. You looked good, seemed happy and most importantly⦠fresh. Something the ER was not used to seeing.
βYou from upstairs?β He asked.Β
βYesβ¦β you wanted to roll your eyes at him. βIβm the clinical pharmacist. What can i do for you Doctorβ¦?β
βAbbot.β He replied rudely. βYou stopped our patientβs blood thinners and heβs back here for the third time this month with a frickinβ PE!
Oof. He sounded pissed. You didnβt mind it though; you were used to way worse verbal abuse from the public.
βLetβs take a look, shall we?β You replied sarcastically and walked over to the computer looking through the patient chart.
βWhen did it say it got stopped?β
βTwo months agoβ a tall man with messy hair said.Β
βHmmm.β You took another sip of your drink. Abbot glancing between you and Ellis and then mouthed what the fuck.Β
βSays right here, he is on blood thinners." You pointed at the screen.Β
Abbot didnβt believe you so he walked over to your side.Β
βThere, Apixaban.β You took another sip. You looked over at Dr Abbot who was stood very closely to you.Β You couldnβt help but look at his lips as he bit down on them.Β
Once heβd seen the chart, after almost not believing you, Abbot shot Ogilvie a look of utter disbelief.Β
βApixaban?β Ogilvie asked.Β
βThatβs Eliquis!β Everyone said at the same exact time.
You rolled your eyes at them and took another sip. You looked at Abbot, again, who was still staring at you, almost admiring youβ¦ He then glanced over at your drink.Β
You pointed the straw towards him, as if to say, have a sip.Β
βWhat the hell is that and why is it green?β He mumbled.
βIced vanilla matcha latte with a dash of cinnamon. Try.β You offered again and he took a sip.Β
You let out a laugh and he met yours with a small smile then letting out a gentle hmmm.Β
βRight soβ¦ am I needed or can I head back up?β You moved away from Abbot and approached the doors.Β
βSorryβ¦β Ogilvie mumbled.Β
βHey β no stress. I swapped it so itβs cheaper for the patient. Does the same jobβ¦β you paused βbut much easier on the credit card. Any hoo, Its a beautiful day to be savings live ehh? Keep up the good work!β You said with a smirk before walking out of the room.Β
Abbot closed his eyes and shook his head.Β
βHey Lenaβ you walked over to her. βWhoβs the older doctor in there?β
βOhh donβt let him hear you say older.β She joked. βThatβs Jack Abbot, night shift attending physician. You never met him before?β
βNo... He wasβ¦ intense.β You added looking back at the room, trying to catch another glimpse of him.Β
βThat he isβ¦ but heβs kind. Donβt let your first interaction judge how you see him. Heβs probably just stressed.β
βOh no, Iβm sure he is. He was fine. I just wondered.β You let out a huff, you couldnβt get your words out. βRight best get back up there so I can wrap up and get out of here. See you later Lena!βΒ
You rushed upstairs, with a skip in your step. You loved what had just happened.Β
You finished for the night and as you were about to log off you got another call from the ER. βWhat!β You let out a groan. βTwice in one frickinβ night!β Β
You grabbed your stuff, your pink tote bag with stars on it, and headed back out the door, heading down to the ER.
βLena!β You walked in, clearly in a bit of a strop.
βSorry sweet something wrong with Mrs Fernβs meds. Youβre needed in there.β
βTwice in one night!β You rolled your eyes. βI need my bed.β You let out a huff as you walked over to where you were needed.
βBack for a consult; arenβt you guys lucky!β You said enthusiastically as you walked in to find Ellis and a nurse you hadnβt met before, speaking with an older lady. Β
βMrs Fern β what are you doing down here?β You recognised her. It was an older lady that had regular appointments at the hospital and popped in to the pharmacy a few times for her meds.Β
βYou two know each other?β Ellis asked.Β
βYeah, she comes in for her meds regularly. Mabel, are you okay?β You approached her gently, and sat on the bed opposite her. βWhat happened? You can tell me.β
βMy medsβ¦ theyβre gone. They just disappeared!βΒ
This wasnβt the first time with Mabel. She kept coming back to the pharmacy to refill her prescription, always claiming sheβd lost them. You suggested she get a memory check, but she refused, insisting she was fine. You couldnβt reach out to her family; she wouldnβt give you permission to.
βWhy didnβt you come speak with me? I was upstairs all day.β
βIβ¦ I couldnβt remember my way upstairs.β Her tone had a hint of sadness.
You let out a sigh.Β βThatβs okay. I can bring you your meds but first weβve got to find out where they disappeared to, okay?βΒ
You looked over at Dr Ellis, trying your best not to blush. She was incredibly beautiful, and a powerful charisma that took over the entire room.Β
βLooks like sheβs had a fall but we noticed her prescription is being filled in smaller amounts. Hence the consult. Any idea why?β She asked.Β
βWhen I noticed sheβs starting to forget I started giving her smaller amounts, more like fortnightly so I can keep an eye on what sheβs taking and when. She uhβ¦ sheβs forgetting things but refused me speaking to her family or putting in a request with the memory team.β You paused. βAre you thinking accidental overdose?β
Ellis nodded.Β
βShit.β Your mind was ticking. βAlright let me try and speak with her.β
You walked back to Mabel. βHey Mabel, do you remember speaking with me last week?βΒ
She nodded.Β
βDo you remember what I said?βΒ
She shook her head.Β
βThatβs okay. Do you have your bag with you?β
She nodded. She looked intimidated, or rather scared.Β
βCan Iβ¦ take a look?βΒ
She nodded again.Β
You walked over to her bag, Ellis followed. You opened lots of med bottles, all pretty much full/ βShit, sheβs not been taking them.β Ellis said quietly.Β
βHas she done a urine sample yet?βΒ
βNot yet, no.β
βShe takes antibiotics to help stop recurring urinary tract infections.β You paused. βAre you thinking what Iβm thinking?β
βYepβ Ellis rubbed her face.
βHey Mabel, when was the last time you went to the toilet?β
βI think a few hours ago.β
βDid it hurt?β
She nodded.Β
βOkayβ¦ thatβs fine. Iβm gonna need you toβ.βΒ
A voice interrupted. βAre the ER staff not running consults anymore?β Abbot said abruptly as he walked into the room. Mabel flinched at his sight.
βDonβt worry he scares me too.β You said quietly as you held her hand, shooting Abbot a look but not bothering with a response.Β
βThe nurse here will take you to the toilet, Iβll be here waiting, you just need to pee in this cup. Do you think you can do that for me?βΒ
Mabel hesitated at first but then finally agreed to it.Β
Abbot stood by the door hands in the air as the patient and nurse made their way to the bathroom. βWhat the fuck?β He snapped.
βAre you always this grumpy?β You replied sarcastically.
Ellis let out a whistle and shook her head. βIβm gonna goβ she pointed at the door and quickly hurried out.Β
βAnswer my question.β
βThere wasnβt one. You justβ¦ swore.β You paused. βIβm not swearing back if thatβs what you want.β You gave a casual shrug.
And he gave an annoyed sigh back.
βYou seem stressedβ¦β you said slowly. βWanna talk?β
He chuckled and shook his head. βNo, what I want is for everyone to just get their shit together.β
βWhoa, you really are in a bad mood.β You paused, carefully thinking your next line. βMabel, the patient, is a regular at the pharmacy upstairs. Sheβs not been taking her meds and your staff needed me to come down and help. You do need them to get their shit together, Doctor Abbot.β You emphasised on his name, almost reminding him who he was. And most importantly, who you were.Β
βWell your services are no longer needed soβ¦β
βSeriously? What is your problem?β You werenβt going to let an old man like him ruin a good day for you.
βMy problem is your scrubs are too damn bright and youβre tooβ¦β he stopped.Β
βYou have a problem with me because I look good? And feel good?β You got closer to him; not believing that heβd just said that. βMaybe you need therapy old man.β You added before storming out of the room.Β
You stepped outside, heart racing, trying to calm your breath. Lena was out there, casually having a cigarette. βYou alright?β She asked.
βYeah.. long day and night by the looks of it.βΒ
βHe pissed you off again?β She asked with a smirk on her face.Β
βHeβs so incredibly rude Lena.β You looked back at the doors. βUnbelievable.βΒ
She let out a laugh.Β
βWhatβs so funny?β You asked.Β
βI think he likes you.β
βWell heβs got a fucked up way of showing that.β You snorted. βI prefer the day shift staff, no offence.β You joked.Β
βSpeaking of the day shift staff, I got invited by one of the doctors to trivia night.βΒ
βYou should go, itβs loads of fun.β She replied casually.Β
βUhh I donβt know. I donβt know any of them and Iβm not part of the team.β You stopped and hesitated but asked anyways. βWill Abbot be there?β
βProbably not.β Lena gave you a side eye followed by a smirk.Β
βGood, Iβll have a think about it then.β
βHey pink!β Someone shouted and you looked over on who was pink was. Ellis was pointing at you.
βmβme?β
βYes you, Mabel is asking for you.β
βOh I canβt go back in. Your doctor may or may not have asked me to leave.β
βOh screw him.β She winked. βPlease?βΒ
You couldnβt say no to her pretty face. βFine.βΒ
You walked back in hoping and praying you wouldnβt see Abbot. You spoke with Mabel who had a urinary tract infection, agreed to finally tell her family what had been going now with her memory problems. Ellis asked you to stay a few minutes and complete the chart if possible.Β
You sat at the hub, looked over at the time, way past your bed time. You quickly typed up your notes and turned over to Ellis. βHey I got asked to go over to trivia nightβ¦ are you coming?β
βNot sure yet, all I want is to see less of people and have an easy night.β She turned around to you. βYou thinking of going?β
βNot sure yet.β
βAbbot wonβt be going.β She added sneakily.Β
βOh fuck yes then.β You let out a laugh but were quickly interrupted by his annoying voice.
βAbbot wonβt be going where?β
Ellisβ eyes widened and tried to hide in a laugh. βTrivia night.β
You shot her a look of: why would you say that.
βOh I love trivia night. Thatβs this weekend right?β He asked, and you completely ignored him.
βYeahβ she said.Β
βNot sure yet, still thinking about it.β He stood closer to you, hands in his pockets. βYou going?β
You looked up at him not entirely sure if the question was directed at you. βDependsβ¦β You logged out and stood up, meeting his eyes. ββ¦on who will be there.βΒ
You grabbed your bag. βSee you later Dr Ellis.β
βSee you later Dr Abbot.β He mumbled to himself as you walked off.
You turned round to him and gave him the finger, then blew Ellis a kiss.Β
You were texting with Santos, one of the doctors in the day shift staff who invited you, about trivia night. You decided that you would go.Β
BYOB, santos replied.Β
How much? You asked.
How much can you handle?
You sent her a laughing emoji. Oh boy you could handle your alcohol, more than anyone would ever think.Β
You grabbed a taxi and headed to the address. Everyone was gathering at Robbyβs place; apparently, he had the biggest and nicest house. You brought along some pink ginβyour go-to drink. When you arrived, you met up with everyone, some familiar faces and a few new ones.
Whittaker β another day shift resident agreed to be the host. The other doctor who made the mistake the other night, Ogilvie, was also here.
You were relieved to see Ellis too.Β
βSo to make it fair, each group will have an attending.β
What?
He continued. βEach group will have at least one doctor and one nurse.β
Who the fuck is the other attending?
You glanced over at the stairs just as Robby and Abbot were walking down. You couldnβt help itβ¦ you rolled your eyes, probably a little too obvious.
βAlthough we do have one clinical pharmacist on hand soββ
βMINE.β Abbot said firmly. βI call first dibs.β
Robby put his hands out. βThatβs not fair!β
βIβm right here you know.β You said.Β
Robby mumbled a sorry. Luckily for you though, Ogilvie was with the other team.
Your team had Abbot, unfortunately, Santos, Mateo and Ellis.Β
Then other team had Robby, Langdon, Jesse, McKay and Ogilvie.Β
βRight β the trivia will be mix of everything. Heads or tails?β He pointed at the team.
βHead!β Abbot shouted excitedly.Β
You whispered.. βHeads, huh? Guess thatβs the only thing youβre good at getting.β
He looked at you with utter shock and disbelief and mouthed what the fuck. Santos let out a loud laugh and took a sip of her drink.Β
The other team started first. You mumbled again βguess even head is not that good.β
βHey weβre not he same fucking team here.β He hissed at you.Β
You put your tongue out.Β
βOh we also need a team name!β Whitaker added.
βCode blue.β Robby said quickly.Β
You turned around to everyone. βHow about hot docs?β You paused. βOh wait Abbot is on our team so that would be inaccurate.β
Ellis let out another loud laugh.Β
Abbotβs eyes widened and was completely speechless.Β
βResus rangers!" Mateo said.
βOh thats good.β You added and had another sip of your drink.Β
Code blue won the first question.Β
Second question was directed at your team.Β
βIn which year did the Titanic sink?β Whittaker asked.
Ellis muttered fuck.
β1912,β Abbot whispered, his voice low but confident.
You leaned in, matching his energy, your lips curling into a mischievous grin. βYou would know... you were probably still alive then.β
You watched his face, waiting for a reaction. His eyebrows shot up and he looked genuinely stunned at your quick reply.
He cleared his throat and said β1912.β
βCorrect!β Whittaker asked.
βCode blue. What is the largest planet in our solar system?β
You whisperedΒ to yourself Jupiter. Abbot stole a quick glance at you, admiring the way you just whispered gently.Β
βMars!β Ogilvie shouted.
βWrong! Resus rangers?β
You looked over at the team, Santos and Mateo with blank expressions on their faces. Ellis shrugged when you looked at her. Β
βIβm pretty sure itβs Jupiter.β You said.Β
βYou into space?β Mateo asked curiously.Β
βYeah.. got a thing for it.β You bit your bottom lip.
Abbot turned to Whittaker. βJupiter.β
βCorrect!βΒ
Few questions later and your team was still winning.
βRangers β Who painted the Mona Lisa?β
βLeonardo da Vinciβ Abbot added.Β
βDid you meet him orβ.βΒ
βOh for fuckβs sake!β He hissed at you and you let out a laugh.Β
Ellis slammed her hand on the table and let out another loud laugh.Β
βLeonardo DiCaprioβ Abbot said confidently. βDa Vinci!β He corrected himself. "Da Vinci!!β
βSorry Abbot β first answer was wrong.β
βWhat the fuck dude!!β Ellis slapped Abbotβs arm.Β
He pointed a finger at you. βShe threw me off my game!!β
βYou just cost us a point old manβ you added.
βRight me and you, outside now.β He pushed back his chair.Β
βWhat you wanna fight orβ¦β you replied sarcastically.Β
βWhat!β His jaw tightened, trying to mask it. βNo, to talk!βΒ
You shrugged. βAlright but I think I can beat your ass.βΒ
You met him outside, after closing the glass double doors behind you.
βWhat is your problem?β He asked.Β
βI donβt have a problem.β You shrugged. He looked incredibly handsome standing by the pool and you hoped your blushing wasnβt so.. obvious. βIβm just having fun.β
βWell.. stop attacking me maybe?β He looked upset.
βYou could also try and be nice to meβ¦β you added then saw a small figure walking towards you. It was a cat.Β
You fucking hated cats, and were also allergic to them.
βOh no, no, noβ You shrieked. βGet that fucking thing away from me!β
He looked back and grinned.Β βYouβre scared of cats?β
βNoβ you tried to slow down your breathing. βJust allergic.β
He picked up the cat and walked towards you.Β
βAbbot no!β You begged. βStop, no!βΒ
He kept walking back and you tried to walk backwards.Β
βYouβre a doctor for Godβs sake! You should know about allergies!β You begged.
He let out a laugh.Β
βActually youβre not a very good one so maybe ββ he charged towards you with the cat and as you tried to run, you slipped, hit your back before falling into the water.Β
You gasped for air, the cold water sending a shock through your system. The pain in your back shot down to your leg, but you pushed it aside, focusing on getting to the side of the pool.
You had a nice outfit on.
Youβd done your hair.Β
You put makeup on.Β
Only for a bastard like Jack Abbot to go and ruin it all.Β
You got out of the pool, the outline of your pink bra showing through your white top. Abbot tired not to look.Β
βYou motherfucker!β You charged at him, wanting to push him back in the pool.
βPlease, no.β He put his hand out. βDonβt!β
You put your arms around him, trying to get him to move but he was freakishly strong.
βOh shit they actually are fighting!β Santos stood by the glass doors. Everyone rushed over, watching you two argue by the pool.Β
βI wouldnβt do that if I were you.β He replied, trying to catch his breath.Β
βDonβt tell me you canβt swim.β You replied sarcastically; you were soaked and dripping water on the concrete ground.
He lifted up his trousers and you saw a glimpse of his prosthetic.
βGreat way to come out of this situation. Thank you for your service.β You mumbled sarcastically and limped back to the house.Β
βYou alright?β Mateo asked.
βYeah fine. Just need a towel please? And a change of clothes.β
You avoided looking anyone in the eye β you were more embarrassed than anything. Β
Robby quickly hurried upstairs.Β
βIs your back hurting?β Abbot was behind you, voice much gentler this time. You shot him a look of fuck off.
Robby gave you a towel and you wrapped yourself up in it and headed upstairs into the bathroom.Β Few minutes later, there was a knock on the door.
You replied with a defeated tone. βYes?β
βI have a change of clothes and an ice pack for your back.β You heard Abbotβs voice and rolled your eyes.Β
You opened the door with a towel wrapped around you, not wearing anything underneath.Β
He blinked, clearly caught off guard. You took the things from him and mumbled a thanks.Β
βIs your back alright?β He asked in a gentle voice.
βUh.. I donβt know. It hurts but Iβve not been able to see it.βΒ
βWant me to have a look?β
You let out a chuckle. βNo.β
βYou could have a serious injury. Please.β He begged.Β
You shut the door in his face. You put on the shorts heβd given you and a large hoodie. It smelt like him. You wondered if it was his.Β
You brushed your hair, tried your best to remove your makeup. The hoodie you had been wearing covered all of you, including the shorts he gave you.Β
You opened the door and he was still standing there, shoulders dropped down, his expression apologetic and genuine.
You turned your back to him and lifted off your hoodie.
βThatβs a nasty bruise.β He put one hand on your hip, and another on your spine checking all is fine. You flinched when he touched the bruise and he mumbled sorry.Β
His touch gave you goosebumps and you hoped and prayed he didnβt see them.Β
βIce it, donβt lift anything too heavy. Next time youβre at work letβs do an x-ray.β
βFine.β You replied coldly as you turned around to face him. βAre we done?β
βIβm sorry.β He whispered.
βApology accepted.β You replied trying not to meet his eyes. You grabbed your ice pack and headed downstairs.
You winced as you stood, the pain still lingering in your back, but you shook it off. You grabbed the tequila bottle, poured yourself a shot, and tossed it back without a second thought.
Everyone looked in amusement until you turned back and showed them the bruise and everyone muttered ow.Β
βRight wellβ¦ Resus Rangers have won!β Whittaker spoke. βAnd next isβ¦ any fancy anything specific?β
βTruth or dare.β You added and everyone shot you a look.Β
βThats a dangerous game.β McKay added.
You shrugged.
βI like dangerous.β Santos replied.Β
βAmen to that.β Ellis added.Β
βLets do it then.β Langdon clapped in excitement.Β
Everyone sat around the table, and you avoided sitting next to Abbot or even meeting his eyes.Β
Santos spun the bottle and it landed on McKay and Robby.Β
βTruth.β He smiled.
βWhereβs the friskiest place youβd ever done it at work?βΒ
βStarting strong.β He laughed and shook his head. βIβm boring, on-call room.β
βThats it!?β She added with a laugh.Β
Bottle landed on Whittaker and Santos.
βTruth or dare.β Whittaker asked.
βDare.β She replied confidently.Β
He dared her to do a handstand, by the pool and she did it effortlessly, despite the many drinks sheβd already had.
Bottle spun again, and landed on you and Abbot.Β
You asked. βTruth or dare?β
βTruth.β
You mumbled boring.
βYou give offβ¦ small dick energy. So is it actually small or just your energy?β
Mateo spat his drink out and Robby was unable to hold in his loud laughter.
βI can show you if you want.β Abbot stared into your eyes.Β
Someone choked on their drink.
βBig enough.β He added.
βNeed a number, Abbot.β You replied coldly despite your heart hammering in your chest.
He got off his chair and walked over to you and whispered a number.
It was big. His words sent a shiver down your spine.
βHey thatβs not fair!β McKay added.
βNowhere does it say the answer has to be revealed to everyone.β Abbot quickly replied.Β
You bit on your bottom lip, hard, not being able to get the size out of your head.
Whittaker spun the bottle again. It landed on you and Langdon.Β
He asked. βTruth or dare.β
βTruth.β You raised an eyebrow. You werenβt strong enough for a dare, not just yet.
βWhat happened between you and Abbot?β He asked.Β
The room went quiet.
βYou need to ask him why he was so rude to that one shift.β You replied. βI donβt have a problem with him but he has a stick up his ass that needs taking it out. Next time call for a surgical consult, not a pharmacy one.βΒ
βMaybe itβs his dick getting in the way.β Santos said drunkenly and everyone burst into laughter.Β
The game picked up speed, the dares becoming more intense with each round.Β
Anyone who refused to do a dare, or dodge a question, had no choice but to take a drink
Another bottle spin landing on you and Ellis.
She asked βtruth or dare?βΒ
βDare.β You replied with confidence.Β
βI dare you to kiss me.β
Everyone let out a ooooh. Without hesitation, you leaned over the table and gave her a kiss. Its as your first time kissing a girl actually, and you enjoyed it.
You glanced over at Abbot who was gripping on his glass, avoiding your eyes.Β
The bottle was spun again landing on you and Abbot.
βTruth or dare.β He asked.Β
βDare.β The mix between gin and tequila has given you the confidence boost youβve been needing.Β
βKiss me.β
You froze for a moment, not wanting to breathe.Β
You reached over the table towards him, but instead of leaning in for a kiss, you grabbed the tequila bottle and poured it straight into your mouth.
Someone banged on the table in expression, others laughed.Β
You grabbed the bottle and spun it, landing on you and abbot, again.
βAre you fucking kidding me?β You said.Β
βTruth or dare?β
You paused for a second, wondering which would be worse to choose.
βDare.β
He quickly said. βSame dare.βΒ
βYou canβt do that.β You looked at everyone. βHe canβt do that!β
Everyone shrugged and no one replied.Β
βGive me the tequila.β You reached for the bottle but Langdon pulled it back. βActually you canβt forfeit twice in a row.β
βSays who!β
βWe literally discussed it at the start.β McKay replied, head resting on the table.
βAlright. How do you wanna do this?β You stood up. βHere, on the table?β You added confidently.Β
Ellis was cry laughing at this point and you shot her a look of please help.Β
He pointed to upstairs.Β
βFine.β You marched up the stairs, heart racing so fast it was about to come out of your chest. Abbot followed you up the stairs. You leaned against the wall, arms crossed, eyes closed. βGet it over with.βΒ
You didnβt hear him walk towards you. You opened your eyes only to find him standing few steps away, not moving. βWhat!βΒ
βIβm not kissing you.β He added.
βYou are so fucking indecisive! Make up your mind!β You threw your hands up in the air.Β
He took another step towards you, closing the distance completely. He pushed you gently against the wall, and pulled each arm down to your side. He moved closer and whispered. βIβll only kiss you if you want me to kiss you.β
Your breathing was heavy, matching his. Your mind went blank and words failed you.Β
βOkay then.β He took a step back. βThat settles it.βΒ
You stood there trying to catch your breath.
βMy happiness scared you?β You asked before he walked off.
βWhat?β
βYou said the other day. I annoyed you because my scrubs were too bright and.. you never continued your sentence. I presume because I looked happy?β
He couldnβt look into your eyes and went completely speechless.Β
βOkay then.β You said quietly and walked back downstairs.
The tension between the two of you lasted all evening. You kept glancing at each other, but your banter had now stopped. Your energy had dipped down. You couldnβt handle any more tequila or gin. You needed your bed.Β
Another bottle spun, landing on Ellis and Langdon who dared each other to an arm wrestling competition.
The bottle continued its spin, Ellis dared you to take your shorts off. You took a shot instead.Β
Next bottle, McKay asked Abbot a question.
βWhatβs your kink?β
Oh my God.Β
He instantly blushed.
βOh this is gonna be a good one!β Robby rubbed his hands together.
βIβ¦β he cleared his throat. βDominance & Submission.β He said letting out a nervous laugh.
βWHAT!β Ellis jumped out her seat. βWHAT!β
βOhhhhh my goodness.β Robby said laughing.Β
You sunk in your chair.Β
Another bottle spun, Santos dared Whittaker to take his trousers off. He sat with just a t-shirt and his boxers.
Ogilvie at one point was dared to jump in the pool and without hesitation he dived right in.
The bottle spun again and it landed on you and Abbot.Β
βYou must be fucking joking.β You added.
βTruthβ¦ or dare?β
βTruth.β You quickly replied.Β
βHave you ever had a one night stand?β
βNo.β And that was the truth, you hadnβt. Abbot cleared his throat and adjusted his position.Β
Bottle landed on Langdon and Santos.
βTruth.β Santos said.
βHave you ever lied on a chart?β
Robby spat his drink out.Β
βHuh. No.β She replied sharply.Β
Another bottle spun landing on you and Robby.Β
βWhy havenβt you had a one night stand?β
The room went quiet.Β
βI uhβ¦ Iβve only ever been with one guy, in med school. Fresh-faced men never appealed to me."Β
βWHAT!β Ellis shouted, jumping out of her seat again. βOoh this night is gooood.β
βYouβre fucking missing out girlβ Santos added.
You blushed and shrugged, pulling your hoodie up. Abbot on the other side cleared his throat.
Another few rounds of dinks along the with more spinning of the bottle, it landed on Abbot and you.Β
βFucking finally.β You said. βDr Abbot β what would you like?β
βDare.β He spat out.
βI think youβve gotta show us and not just tell me how big it is.β
βOh my God. Nope, Iβm out of here.β Robby quickly walked away from the table. McKay had now perked up.Β
βCβmon, big guy.β Your heart was racing. You had felt him on you earlier tonight, you also knew the size. Just needed the visual effects.
βI think we can all agree that no one wants to see it.β Abbot said.
βDrink, then.β You said.Β
Langdon said. βHe doesnβt drink.βΒ
βWhat?β You spat out.Β
βNot a single sip this evening.β Abbot answered.Β
βYou must be fucking joking! Thatβs not fair.β You argued. βSo what now?β
βGotta be in private.β Whittaker shrugged.
You dug yourself a big, big hole.Β
Abbot moved slowly off his chair, with a smirk on his face. He walked up the stairs and you hesitated. You turned around to them and said βCan I drink and take back the dare?β
Everyone let out a laugh and quickly shook their heads.
You followed Abbot upstairs; heβd walked into the bedroom. You walked in and closed the door.Β
βAre you okay with this?β He asked.
βMe?β You were surprised. βYeah of course β I wouldβt have said it otherwise.β You tried to reply confidently, although the trembling of your lips might have given it away.
βHere goes nothing.β He quickly unbuckled his trousers and dropped them. You looked at everything around but him.Β
You panicked and closed your eyes, not because you didnβt want to look, but you realised that this Is probably more uncomfortable for him given how sober he was.Β
βReady when you are.β He added.Β
Your eyes were still close. Heat crept up your neck and you felt yourself go bright red.Β
βOkay this is awkward as fuck.β He added.Β
You tried to steady your breathing; you wanted to open your eyes. You turned around and faced the door. You opened your eyes and said. βIβm sorry I didn't realise youβve been sober this whole evening. I wouldnβt have asked otherwise.β
βSober or drunk, the courage is still there sweetheart.β
He called you sweetheart. Fuck, he definitely should not have said that.Β
βYour happiness didnβt scare me offβ he whispered gently. βI uhβ¦ you sparked something in me.β
You swallowed hard.
He continued. βSeeing you, your charisma, how happy and cheerful you wereβ¦ I'm not used to that. Iβm friends with the darkness.βΒ
βMaybe you need therapy.β You whispered back, still facing the door.
βBeen there, done that.β You heard him pull his trousers back up so you turned around.Β
βShall we start again?β You asked. "I need we need a do over."
βSounds like a good idea.β He took a step forwards. βIβm Jack.β He put his hand out for you to shake. You put your shaking hand in his.Β
Your lips trembling and the shaking of your breath was all too obvious.Β
Your hand was still holding jackβs when you pulled him slowly towards you. He put his hands on your hips, and went in for a deep but gentle kiss. You didnβt want it to end so you pulled him closer, feeling the heat of his body as his lips moved against yours.Β
You let your hand wander down, you undid his trousers and let them fall.Β You looked down, it certainly was big. You let out a small laugh.
βWhats so funny?β He whispered between kisses.
You smiled.
βBigger than I imagined,β you whispered, your words coming out softer than you intended.
He kissed your neck and you tried to steady yourself. You took his t-shirt off and were completely speechless about his entire body. Not only was he muscly; everything was curved and defined.Β
You didnβt hesitate, not when you felt this good, when he carefully removed your shorts, the weight of the moment making your pulse race. He kept your hoodie on, his hoodie.
His hands wandered and you couldnβt help but bite down on his shoulder, trying to hold in a loud moan. He gently slid two fingers in.Β
βTell me when to stop.β
βDonβt every stop.β You gasped for air.Β
And he didnβt. He certainly did not stop as he reached for places you haveβt been touched before.Β
You reached for him too, hard.Β
He checked in with a whisper βyou okay?β
You barely registered your response, the words tumbling out almost desperately. βDonβt stop.β
Despite the sex being quick, it was mind-blowing.Β As you both came crashing on top of each other, all you managed to say was "nice to meet you, Jack."

It was a wonderful day. I went to the exam and I had not even finished the material. I felt terrified and afraid. Then I thought, what is the worst that could happen? Why am I so nervous? So I decided to relax and just let things happen. I reviewed what I had read and took the exam. When I finished, I was not sure about anything, but... I said, let it not be my fault that he suddenly added two lectures, so I gave it to them and left when I left I heard everyone was saying that most of the choices were A and D. I was shocked and happy, so another exam ended well ! ... Now I have pharmaceutical accounts on Wednesday. I will study today

January 12th is National Pharmacist Day! Today recognizes and promotes the role of pharmacists in improving the health of others.
For today, Howard letterpress printed a woodcut, made roughly 130 years ago, from Lewis Winter Collection. The woodcut is of a cross with Rx in the middle, which is the symbol for pharmacy. We are not sure why Winter kept the corners on the woodcut. This was printed with purple rubber base ink using our Washington hand press.
I baked a cheesecake today for my pharmacist. I love baking people cakes. It makes them very happy, which makes me very happy!!! It's little things like that that can make a person's day better and it's so easy to do. I love doing this like this!! ππ
