#unexpected text

I recently moved to a different part of the country to finish school. I don't know what it was about today but I came home feeling so discouraged. So I thought I would look into the school that I was thinking of attending after I finish my internship. But that was frustrating because of multiple reasons. Then I decided to play the piano a little and sing along. Wrong answer.... even more discouraging. But I guess some days are like that....

I just received an unexpected text from one of my close friends about how much she appreciates me and how proud she is of me about how much I have grown. It's crazy because coming to college, I never expected to be so close to a group of people and to be able to consider this group of close friends, my family means everything to me because I'm not even close to my family. I'm so proud of how far I've come because soooooo many people doubted I could make it this far in life. It even gotten to the point where I even doubted myself. But then in the back of my mind, I thought about my mother and all she did for me. She may not be here physically but I know she's smiling down on me from Heaven. I just hope she and God help guide to become that successful lawyer, I strive to be…. That text message definitely reassured that I'm on the right track. Thank you Amani.
