I keep hitting walls while trying to learn game dev with Pico-8 and GBStudio.
I need someone to sit beside me and walk me through this stuff one-on-one. The bottom-up way I learn seems especially poorly suited to most online coding resources. YouTube tutorials donโt allow real-time questions, and redditors usually reply to asks for help with an avalanche of code and jargon I canโt even begin to parse.
It is also extremely hard to come by someone who doesnโt get annoyed when I need things broken down into tiny stepsโฆ and who actually has the time for it.

You know when you work really hard on something and it turns out good, really, really good even and it's not appreciated by people who are supposed to? And then stuff that aren't as good in your opinion are appreciated? And then some other stuff are even better than yours and also aren't appreciated very much? And you sit there like ๐.
That's what happens on historical school conferences in Bulgaria. The hosts always win something and guests who host other conferences win some too. And the newbies. It's not like their stuff are bad, but you know in your bones it isn't 100% honest.
