On Tuesday, J&J was down at Wrightsville Beach performing an underwater prop removal on an 80ft Hatteras Yacht! Our senior diver, Matthew, was the diver on scene to handle this very difficult task, and he did an exceptional job! Each prop weighs in at around 700lbs!!! We had the big wigs on sight as well for this job. Rich, our company manager and ex-diver, was chomping at the bit to be in that water with Matthew, but had to settle for being the above water assistant on this one. Rich and Justin held the record for the largest underwater prop pull here at J&J, but this set of props may just take the prize. We will confirm that and let ya know. The boss man was also there to help out with this operation. I don't see any red there brother! LOL! We tested out some new flotation bags to float the props once they were pulled from the vessel, and then used the davit on the yacht to haul them out of the water onto a barge for transportation to the repair shop. This was an incredibly smooth and successful job that was a lot of fun to capture, but most importantly everyone walked away unharmed. Always a concern when dealing with massive equipment like this. Well done fellas! Stay tuned for a video that will be created around this job! #propremoval #underwaterpropremoval #wrightsvillebeach #divinglife #divingservice #wrightsvillebeachnc #wilmingtonnc #boatservice #boatinglife #yacht #yachting #yachtclub #yachtlife #yachtlifestyle #hatterasyachts #hatteras (at Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina) https://www.instagram.com/p/CKUFdv7BdI9/?igshid=bcxh7i5yr4xj
