Today is the day my Grandson will be born. His parents are at the hospital now. I cannot wait to meet and hold little Kennedy. I love him already! Well, I have a small collection of real birds nests (found, vacated and abandoned). When I was living in a larger home I had more display space and so I put them all on brown Transferware compotes or soap dishes etc and covered them with glass. 🕊It’s hard to see them from this angle but each cloche has a real bird nest underneath, sitting on #antique butter dishes or compotes. collected and given to me. 🕊A bird nest is a symbol of the home. Hi!! Today I’m sharing a little vignette I put together for #underthisclochetuesday. My cloche is placed on an antique brown Transferware soap dish with no cover. These are perfect pieces for a small cloche as they make for pretty, elevated stands. What’s under this cloche is a Royal Doulton bunnykins figurine dressed as a worker in the early days of the Staffordshire Potteries. Over to the right is another Royal Doulton loving cup which has a raised image of just a few of the thousands of bottle kilns that once made up the Staffordshire skyline (I have two...one is for sale in my shop).
