Nest of a Long-tailed Tit (Aegithalos caudatus). What architecture! The author describes the nest:
“It is generally placed between the branches of a tree…is composed of moss, small fragments of bark and wood, compacted with gossamer-like fibres, and the cocoons of spiders’ eggs, and the chrysalides of moths, and plentifully lined with feathers….It is, as may be supposed, waterproof and very warm.”

Celebrate with these delightful Sugar Cookie Bird's Nests that are not only cute but also delicious. A perfect treat for special occasions and gatherings!
Ingredients: 1 package sugar cookie mix. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1 egg. 1 cup shredded coconut. 1/2 cup chocolate candy eggs.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to the temperature written on the package of sugar cookie mix. Put the sugar cookie mix, softened butter, and egg in a mixing bowl. Mix until you get a dough. You can make balls out of small pieces of dough. Leave enough space between the dough balls when you put them on a baking sheet. Make a hole in the middle of each dough ball with your thumb or the back of a spoon. To make it look like a bird's nest, stuff each hole with shredded coconut. Read the directions on the package and bake the cookies in an oven that is already hot until the edges are golden brown. Take the cookies out of the oven and leave them on the baking sheet to cool for a while. After the cookies have cooled a bit, put the chocolate candy eggs carefully into the coconut nests. Move the cookies to a wire rack to cool all the way down. Enjoy these cute Sugar Cookie Bird's Nests!
