ok. I have a fun ask for you. (If you want to!)
The khdr kids (-Eraqus, Bragi, and Xehanort), ranked by how much of a threat they wouldâve been to Xehanortâs plans if they had survived to the bbs era?
Ooooooh that is fun. All subjective of course but here's what I'm thinking:
Baldr - Assuming for a moment that Baldr escaped death at the end of KHDR with Darkness still in tow and then showed back up again during BBS after being in hiding for like 70+ years, he'd probably have the best chance of stealing Xehanort's win right out from under him in order to summon Kingdom Hearts himself and get the ending he wants (blanketing the world in darkness rather than creating balance.) So like, sitting back and letting Xehanort do all the hard work only to swoop in at the last second and start killing everyone (which was his MO in KHDR anyway.) Xehanort vs. Baldr boss fight. I'm putting him at #1 because (1. Darkness Baldr is pretty damn powerful (and would grow even more powerful as Baldr aged), (2. would somewhat even the playing field by wielding darkness and cheating when nearly everyone else opposing Xehanort is wielding light and playing by the rules, and (3. I'm not sure if Xehanort would be able to stop him easily? Even with Vanitas and (maybe) Braig helping him. Like I can imagine Xehanort planning for this possibility knowing that Baldr is still Out There Somewhere waiting to pounce, but knowledge and planning don't guarantee victory.
Vor - She has the benefit of being surprisingly strong (could maybe take Xehanort in a fight both physically and magically), often underestimated + overlooked (has the highest chance of surprising him despite all his calculated planning), and has enough "beloved little sister" energy to potentially make Xehanort waver emotionally for just long enough to create an opening to stop him/take him down. Out of all the KHDR kids (minus Eraqus if he hadn't ruined his relationship with Xehanort) she's the most likely to make him Feel Something, I think. He did shed tears at her death in canon, after all. (I think it would be very fun if she pretended to be sad/hurt/betrayed at what he's doing with big puppy dog eyes, acting all cute and defenseless, to make Xehanort lower his guard ever so slightly, enough to get an "unfair" hit on him.)
Vidar - His own past pursuit of Kingdom Hearts would make him uniquely positioned to think like Xehanort and predict his moves. Vidar is also one of the few people besides Baldr who can relate to Xehanort on the "wanting to summon Kingdom Hearts" thing, which means that Xehanort might be more willing to listen to what he has to say. Not that attempts to talk Xehanort out of it would ever work, but much like the "beloved little sister" thing with Vor, it might be just enough to give Xehanort pause, potentially creating an opening somewhere.
Urd and Hermod - Basically the same as Vor, but a little less able to tug at Xehanort's heartstrings, I feel. They're still his classmates and friends though, so they'd still have a decent chance at making him waver a teeny bit.
The rest of the upperclassmen - The least able of the bunch to stop Xehanort. He doesn't have as much of an emotional attachment to them and they're probably not going to be much stronger than him, either. They'd still be helpful allies to TAV in the fight against him, though.
