i’ll admit it, i didn’t see no way home after i heard what was going to happen to me. i’m still mad at the mcu for taking me away from my boy. but…… well, i want to support my kid. so, yeah, i’ll see the new movie.

but when i see them, all i can think is “oh, i used to go on walks with this person. oh, he and i had an informal book club together. oh, she painted my portrait once and it made me overwhelmingly happy. oh, we used to have tea early in the morning when nobody else was awake. oh, that person taught me some of my favorite recipes.”

we can make infinite criticisms about writing quality and character motivations and such, and i do participate in these conversations regularly as a hobbyist writer and media analyst. but… those are, and always will be, real people to me as well. i make certain to separate the character as they’re depicted in source from the person i knew… but they share names, faces, voices. so, sometimes, when i see someone saying “all [character] fans are problematic”, all i can do is laugh. because… that is my friend. i used to meet this person for breakfast.

headcanon a (realistic): she's gotten very used to regulating how she appears whenever she is stressed out or anxious !! when she gets nervous or stressed she tends to rub her thumb over the palm of her hand as a sort of self soother. when she's REALLY tired and anxious she gives a lot more away in her expression and how short her tone suddenly becomes

headcanon b (may not be realistic but it is hilarious): i've always had this silly little headcanon that postgame kirumi is very bad at crotchet for some odd reason. just never got into it and never needed to do it, and it is extremely embarrassing for her when she picks up crocheting needles and fumbles around with them for a bit ghksgfkdhgk. eventually her embarrassment and resentment turns into contentment at the fact that she doesnt have to be good at every single thing she picks up :)

headcanon c (heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends): terrified of heights postgame. like full on panic attack if she looks down out of a window at the ground for too long. not only is her limited mobility an awful reminder of her execution (as i always imagine she needs a cane or wheelchair in postgame scenarios) but she legit can't go anywhere that's too high up either. it just makes her feel very limited, which, as a maid that is supposed to fulfil any request, is something she feels immensely awful for

headcanon d (unrealistic, but i will disregard canon about it): she never actually sits down to watch television because she is always insisting there is something else to be done, but a lot of the time she ends up walking past the tv, getting distracted by what's on (mostly because she's curious to know what in the world is happening), and ends up standing there for a few minutes dad style. all of this to say this is how kirumi tojo knows multiple plot points from riverdale
