Shane and Ilyas personalities match so well because I cannot imagine Shane and Ilya with someone who isn’t competitive or a little snarky. can you think of inviting a Montreal man to the hollanov house who isn’t a little competitive? they would feel out of place. or bringing someone who doesn’t bite back or at least loves a little rage baiting? Shane and Ilyas love language is being competitive + snippy, sassy, salty remarks. no offense but it would be the most boring (not the Hollander men kind) relationship known to mankind. Shane and Ilya really fell for each other at the right moment. I do think they were fated to be soul mates. it just took a couple years to realize it
