So, the person I was taking to was saying that spirituality was how they explored “the big questions of life” of existence and what bring meaning to us. They also mentioned that music and art are spiritual, but to me that is aesthetics, a branch of philosophy that explores what is pleasing to us.

I see “spiritual” as in relation to the personal human spirit, but I’m iffy on the concept of spirit or soul. I place no unique significance to my existent. I see spiritual practices too close to religion for this secular witch. To me, what comes with religion is dogma.

I ask questions, I experiment, I see myself in relation to the world around me, I ask the “big” questions of life, I study religions and practices that I don’t necessarily agree with not because I and seeking understanding or enlightenment, I just like like to learn things because it helps me better understand other people and how they relate to the world around them.
