Here's another from sunset the other night at Two Lights State Park in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. This was just before the last light faded. This was a 3 minute and 30 second exposure using a LEE Filters 10-stop Proglass IRND filter. The long exposure then allows the waves and moving water to blur to a mist, and the movement of the clouds to form streaks. Last night I found myself at Two Lights State Park in Cape Elizabeth for sunset. I've never spent much time photographing here before, but last night sunset seemed like it might be pretty good, and I knew the southern tip of the park faced the right direction. I'd never ventured this far down the rocks before. The ones that get wet regularly tend to develop a slime that makes walking on them treacherous, so after I did my video last night, I put a set of micro-spikes on my boots to help with traction. They grabbed the rocks perfectly and I was able to move around with ease. As the sun got lower, I made my way to this area and found a torugh in the rock that was channeling the water. I thought it would look cool if I could capture it right. I stood there straddling the trough, with my tripod set up in it, and made several exposures. I loved the way the rushing water looked in this one best, and the color in the sky was perfect.
