submitted by twiverse: Hi! I wanted to point out lack of highlights in this sprite. I don’t know if somebody already said that… If somebody did, then I’m sorry! (I was angry whenever I looked at this sprite in-game, grr)

i don’t think i’ve pointed that one out on this blog yet (corrected it in past sprite transparenting tho, he has three sprites in this pose missing his highlights while the others in the same pose still have it)

Yeah, his dad could breathe fire

i literally had to go rewatch episode one to make sure this had even been mentioned

and honestly it’s been so unimportant throughout the show that his dad even exists. there’s zero mention of him except for one throw-away line in the first episode, a line that’s so much of a throw-away that it takes til season 3 to even get a vague reference to it. and that reference is so vague that if this person who could breathe fire was a grandparent, aunt, uncle, some other relative, a long-dead sibling, etc, it would literally make zero impact on the story because that’s how little they are mentioned. exactly two lines in over 50 episodes.

i mean, at this point the only way “could have breathed fire” could be significant is if its revealed that deku-lad was asshole-dad’s secret love child.
