Waving as someone who checked your blog because I really love your art in general. But who also really loves your Goro system art and had it. hilariously. also help me realize that I might’ve not Just Been Having PTSD Moments that… make me also behave differently, and remember different things, and treat my relationships differently, and have different pronouns and names…whoops. Congrats on processing some of this, it’s never fun or easy but can be very, very rewarding, and take a lot of stress off of your own existence. I think my only advice as someone who’s in similar trenches to give yourself absolute permission to exist. Whoever you are is worth being.

And FWIW when I brought this all up to mental health professionals in my life, they’ve pretty much across the board told me the treatments right now aren’t geared towards much besides symptom relief, or on the rougher side, forcing coherence for others or rushing a final fusion. Grain of salt on that, I also don’t have a formal diagnosis on it, so it’s not as if I can give perspective from the other side of things, too, directly. I’m sure there are some great resources out there, but I’ve honestly gotten the most use out of treating other symptoms and trying to bridge memory gaps with written notes and a scheduling app (I use Structured) to keep track of day-to-day, or things further out that we might have trouble remembering.
