MIGHT CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR TWD SEASON 11!!!!
Currently on Season 11 Episode 6 of The Walking Dead and I’ve been having thoughts on the Reapers as the antagonists for half of the season.
Honestly, they might be one of the most, if not the most boring antagonists we’ve had on the show. Compared to the major villains we’ve had since season 5 (Terminus, The Saviors, The Whisperers), there seems to be no interesting backstory on why they decide to hunt down and kill people. It honestly feels like a cheap way to weaken the main character circle in the start of season 11.
It was also such a waste of potential good characters when they decided to kill off Maggie’s group, like they were skilled fighters and it just felt like they were cutting off strong characters and leave off the main characters so that there is the element of struggle.
Don’t even get me started on Leah, cus I feel like theyre using this whole Daryl’s ex storyline to make it “interesting” or impactful. It’s just so annoying that there has to be a romance storyline like UGHHH ITS JUST SO CHEAPPPP AND BORINGG AND OUT OF CHARACTERRRR. Maybe because i’m a hardcore daryl fan and im picky on the ships I support (Literally everyone other than his onscreen romantic interests are far more better; Like CONNIE?? CAROL?? AARON?? JESUS?? All these four ships have far more merit than these fuckass love interests they gave him). It feels like a stupid way to make Daryl have the moral/personal dilemma just so that there is more emotional impact on the whole storyline.
Like ain’t no way Daryl was gonna choose Leah when she asked him who he belongs with😭😭 WE DONT EVEN KNOW THIS CHARACTERRR. I can’t like this is so frustrating.
I don’t wanna complain that much about season 11 cause god knows i fucking lovethis show and so i’ve been trying not to let the S11 hate get to me, but oh my fucjing god is it true. It alr doesn’t hit the same with so many characters killed off (WHERE’S RICKK, WHERE’S MICHONNE?? And lowkey where he fuck is jadis), and they keep messing up storylines by trying so damn hard to beat up our characters😭
