Meeting: Troy found you in the early days of the apocalypse. You were in the desert, dehydrated and close to death. He brought you back to the Ranch and kept a close eye on you, constantly checking in to make sure that you were recovering well. You became fast friends, appreciating his attention and care, so it wasn’t long before things became romantic.

Affection: When it comes to PDA, Troy was typically not a huge fan. He much preferred to love on you in private, a small kiss turning into much more in no time.

Jealously: Despite not enjoying PDA, whenever Troy finds himself jealous of attention you get from others, he will not hesitate to throw his arm around you and kiss you on the cheek. This is his way of showing people that you are his and not to be messed with.

Protection: Troy had a difficult upbringing but his brother Jake was always there to protect him. This instilled a protective nature in Troy when it comes to people he loves deeply. Whenever you face danger, Troy will risk his own life to protect you without hesitation and you do the same for him.

Balance: Troy has a chaotic energy about him. You often act as his voice of reason (or moral compass) as he can be cold and cruel to those he does not trust. On the other hand, Troy is often encouraging you to stand up for yourself, something you have a tendency not to do. The two of you bring out the best in each other.

Romance: Troy is not the best at romantic gestures most of the time, having had no real example of it growing up. Sometimes he surprises you though, planning mini dates despite the chaos of the apocalypse.

Sick: When you’re sick, Troy will insist that you remain in bed. He makes sure to bring you food from the common area, not wanting you to have to venture out for it or miss meals. He will also take your shifts on the Ranch. Getting Troy to rest when he’s sick is a big challenge, one you usually can’t succeed at. However, at the end of the day he really appreciates you tending to him and cuddling in bed.

Loss: You and Troy had experienced plenty of loss since you met. Losing his father, brother and then the ranch all so close together nearly broke him. Things became so heavy that neither of you knew how to handle it. Still, your relationship remained strong as you supported each other the best you could.
