Mice got into all my stuff in the basement and I had to throw so much out. I’m not even remotely okay and I’ve been dealing with it for the last couple days. I feel like I’ll never get my safe space again…
You know, there’s nothing QUITE like your fiance getting a text at midnight from the friend who was in your apartment yesterday telling her that he just found out he has bedbugs.
We were up until 4 AM washing all of our bedding, clothes, pillow covers, comforter, EVERYTHING. And now, I’m going to be paranoid for the next fucking MONTH. That is like... My worst fear on earth.
BTW for anyone who rents, if you ever find ANY shit in your apartment, there should be an extermination clause in your lease. Provided that the landlord cannot prove you are at fault (which landlords are shit so they WILL try, it’s harder to do with some pests than others), and depending on the laws in your state, they are likely legally required to exterminate things in your apartment.
Me and my family have a new kitten and IT turned out that he's COVERED in flees
One of said flees jumped off him into the floor - he was exploring the house before we washed him too
We're cooked
In the middle of FaceTiming with my parents I see THIS on my floor and freak the fuck it and for fifteen minutes I try to sweep it into a dust pan while my dad yells at me to step on it and finally I somehow rush it out the door and it. Immediately goes back into a hole in the side of my house and we’re back at square one.

Springtime, so we're laying rat traps again. There's an evil little satisfaction in hearing a *ka-CHAKK!* from the next room. Fuck you, stop eating my house!
i’ve had a problem with silverfish this summer because of the humidity in my building and a few days ago i set out some glue traps and last night was my most successful one. i got 6 overall. 4 in my kitchen, 3 in my living room, and 1 in my bedroom. disgusting but i’m happy. some of them were small, too. just babies. one was disgustingly huge though.
First pest of my new Boston home.
It was a mouse, so it was a lot cuter than the pests I got used to in NYC.
And now I have at least one roommate much braver than I to take care of it.
He said usually the cats keep them at bay, but from time to time, they'll bring one *into* the house after having played with it, and it's not fully dead.
I survived, and I wasn't particularly scared, but still feeling kind of vulnerable. Send photo (or just comfort things).
