So I've been freaking out for the past two weeks, as I've been getting weird bug bites. They haven't shown up in a line or cluster, but I have only noticed the new ones after waking up.
No one, including myself, actually really thought I had them, but I've been being really cautious as far as hanging out with my friends. I've missed out on a lot these last two weeks for fear of becoming the next Typhoid Mary.
I was also afraid that I would do something to mess up me getting to stay in this perfect apartment, and that's what was driving most of the anxiety. Add to that, my leftover trauma from living in the roach-infested place a few years ago.
After many, sleepless nights and many discussions with my friends, I decided to hire a professional bedbug detection dog to see what the deal is. She's trained to find any trace of bedbugs, even shells and feces.
I'm so so happy to report that she didn't find anything! I'm also super grateful that I had the means to pay for this service. It wasn't cheap and I had to put it on my credit card, but I think it was worth it to put a stop to this huge anxiety spiral.
