THE NEW FILM IS FINALLY HERE!
Last week, my new film Dear Son got finished. It’s been a huge relief that after a year of hard work and with the help from some amazing people, I was able to make such a great short film. I can say that I’m very proud of what the film has become, and it’s been a great project to work on. It’s been hard of course, but totally worth it. Sorry for the ones who want to see the film though - it’s not online yet! First, I want to try and take on some filmfestivals and see what happens! A teaser of the film will be there soon though, so keep posted!
Rainy day.
Trying out some walks/runs for my main characters. Number 6 looks like a penguin haha.
Started animating on my Master Film “En Zoon”! (“And Son” in English) And I love it! Still got some backgrounds to do, but I wanted to take a break from that. Also, I could not wait to share this!Â

Quick animation before I go to bed. Lighthouses are cool.
Detail of some concept art for my new film! Not sure yet if this will be the final style, but I’m figuring out ;) Starting to leave Photoshop where it is, and fully changing to TVPaint 11 to make backgrounds as well. It has soooo many possibilities. Love it more and more, and not only to animate!
Woodpecker.
So yeah, I was gonna do a quick animation since I am pretty tired. Buuuuuut, in the end I spent around an hour and a half on this little woodpecker. Although the animating itself took only around 10 minutes since I only used four different frames. I spent all the rest of the time cleaning and colouring... Got inspiration for this animation from my garden, since this little fellow just visited this evening. Although he was pecking in the grass (and the green ones mostly do that instead of a tree), I like the composition of pecking in a tree much more. And I like the green woodpeckers more than the black and white ones.
