☰ Jiraiya
■ Is veryobservant and will be quick to notice a change in his child’s attitude or behavior,he won’t want to immediately make a huge deal over it. But he will ask about ittrying to find out if there is something that happened or changed in his child’slife to cause the changes in their attitude. If they are open and willing totalk with him over it he is very understanding and a great listener and will recommendgetting professional help or talking to someone, if they are more withdrawn andunwilling to talk about anything he will be more forceful about getting hischild to a professional in psychology talk with them.
■ He won’tlike the idea of forcing professional help on his child but will if he feelslike he can’t do anything to help his child but knows that something is wrongor bothering them. He won’t want his child to feel alone or helpless and he’sfine if his child doesn’t want to talk to him about their situation or problemsbut will want them to get help and have someone to talk to and learn ways tocope and help themselves.
■ Takesmental illness very seriously and won’t want to pretend that he knows whatwould be best for his child and feels more comfortable with them in the handsof a therapist. That way they can tell him what’s going on with his child orhow severe or serious it is as well as what he can do to help his childespecially when they are having a rough time or a rough day.
■ He isnothing but very loving and comforting towards his child but doesn’t baby themjust because they have depression, he won’t want to come across ascondescending or treating them completely different just because they do have depressionand won’t want them to think he’s trying to isolate them or treat them special justbecause of it, especially if he has other children. But he does like spendingtime with his child and showing them that he is there for them and nothing butaccepting and understanding of them.
■ Jiraiyalikes trying to cheer up his child by taking them on trips or new places andnot just a one-day trip but trips over the weekend or for a few days to taketheir mind off of things going on at home. Whether it’s a trip to a new city ortown for a festival or concert, or to go shopping or sight seeing in a new areaor even to an amusement park or Zoo whatever his child enjoys doing.

■ Willtreat the situation very seriously from the moment she finds out that her childmay actually have depression, she will not just write it off as sadness or aphase and will act on it immediately. Talking to her child about what’s goingon, how they are feeling and flat out asking them if they feel depressed or ifthey could have depression. Because she will not want to force her child intogetting help if they are just having a bad day but won’t want to put it off andnot help them soon enough.
■ Shewill insist on taking her child to a psychiatrist/therapist for her child hassomeone to talk to about what they are going through and being understandingthat they may not want to talk to her about everything they are going through butshe is very open to listening if they do want to talk to her. But she willstill feel better having her child talk to a professional and will also like tohear from the professional about if they feel like it’s actually depression andif so how she can help.
■ Thereis never a time where she will act like it’s nothing or that they can handle iton their own, and she takes all medical issues very seriously whether physicalor mental. So she is nothing but understanding and comforting over the matter whetherher child has depression that’s severe or temporary or anything else she willbe encouraging and loving towards them through everything.
■ Shewill talk to her child often and let them know that she is there for them ifthey need to talk, she will clear her schedule if they need to talk or ishaving a rough day. She will do whatever she can for them staying home withthem or spending the day with them taking them somewhere to take their mind offof things whatever she can do to help them.
■ Willtry to cheer her child up by spending the day with them doing something theyenjoy, preferring staying at home for they can talk if needed. Having a movienight or playing video games or board games ordering take out food or cookingtogether if she knows they enjoy cooking, she is very open minded to doingwhatever she knows will or could help them cheer up.
