I have not died! I have done exercise!
I let this slip a little over the holidays. I finished my 140.6 challenge! And promptly signed up for another. I really had a great time!Â
Despite my current optimism, the last few days were HARD. I was on the bike and the treadmill as hard as I could, biking, running, walking, crawling, dying. My out of shape rear did 65 miles in 3 days and hopped in a car to enjoy Thanksgiving with family. I know 140 miles in a month is nothing for some of you serious triathletes, but it was a lot more than I was used it and I really had to push myself. Perhaps harder than I should have. It did show me that I really can make improvement easily, it just takes time. Time I have.Â
I officially signed up for an oly in June. I think I can handle it. The swim and the bike won’t be too bad but the run will be my downfall. I need to stuff in some 10ks and 13.1s in there too so I’m forced to run more.Â
I started a sprint training plan Monday. I should have time to do this and do an oly plan before then!Â
