So in case you missed it @elasticpoodle bought me a character design of my TFP self-insert (cybertronsona? botsona? idk) from the amazing @nekkyousagiart a few months ago. Today, I went to the store to buy some pants and ended up at the photo center somehow, I donât know, my feet slipped all the way to the other end of the store from the clothes to where the photo center was, and I realized I could order prints right from my phone, which is not knowledge someone like me should ever have. Point is I have no self control and next thing I knew this was on my wall above my desk. :D

Y'know, I've been holding onto this little story since the initial Mini-cons comic... and then we finally got images of the new Armada Jetfire. And what's this? He comes with an updated version of the Space Mini-Con Team? In that case, maybe I could've held off until that toy released, since I'd have an excuse to swap in the modern toys... ah well, it's not like Micronus is the only Deus Ex Machina I could pull out for that.
Speaking of, did we ever get an update on that Red Alert exclusive pack that was supposed to come with a bunch of Mini-cons? I wouldn't mind being able to give the Armada characters their partners.
I haven't watched Armada since it released, and even then, I didn't watch the whole thing through, so I don't know if it was established whether or not the Mini-Cons had sparks (or developed them after being freed from Unicron). So, assume these Mini-Cons are from an AU where they didn't have sparks, or at least only had the Unicron equivalent. We're mixing different series here, anyway, so maybe I get a little slack for not being canon-compliant? =p
I can neither confirm nor deny whether Solus actually has a "Music To Forge To" playlist, or that she would have "Underground" by Tom Waits on it.
And with that, I'm done with the Armada Mini-Cons for now. We'll probably swing back to them in the future, but that'll wait for a bit.

A common interpretation of Solus Prime is that she was far more even-tempered than the rest of the Thirteen. In truth, while she had better self-control than some of her siblings, the Armorer of Primus made her wrath clear, public, and extremely unsubtle. Author's Notes:

Follow-up to this comic. Solus isn't satisfied with just scolding the Armada crew - no, she's addressing the Mini-con issue, and she's calling in some help.
I know Micronus's Artifact is called the Chimera Stone, but it's been renamed here to something a bit punchier. Also, we already have the Emberstone in this toyline, so I wanted this Macguffin to have a more distinct name.
Originally, I was going to have Armada Optimus flash back to seeing the Four Horsemen from Dreamwave's Energon comic series, as an example of Unicron corrupting Cybertronians. Dropped it, obviously, but Optimus definitely still had them on his mind...

âSure, my sort-of self insert OC is in love with this character in the RP, and I ship it hard, but this DEFINITELY wonât bleed into any sort of actual crush on said character IRLâ and other dumb lies I tell myself.
Finally, the person shouting - a lanky, slender, flat-chested, absolute stick of a woman with long black pigtails and lines shaved in between them - PUSHES her way front and center.Â

Very long story short, Whirl is a human adult in this AU, so I wanted to sort of âage upâ her holoform design from MTMTE while making it feel unique to a timeline. I wanted her to both seem comfortable and look like she could step on someone if they crossed her. Thatâs a weird combo to try and pull off but I think the result fits the character.
