"So autistic people have the ability to recognise patterns in things. That's when you see like in toddlers, how they line there cars up or they might organise their blocks by colour or shapes. And they- That's how they play. Is that they like to organise and arrange things into similar categories. But as we get older a lot of autistic people have that ability to recognise patterns within objects or different topics that they are interested in. But 1 out of 5 autistic adults have the ability to recognise patterns within human interaction rather than within objects. So those are the autistics that end up specialising in therapy, social work, psychology. Kind of those human centered carriers or professions and that tend to be very high masking and don't realise they're autistic because they are really good at picking up on patterns in human interactions and understanding them." /end of transcript]
